CELEBRATE A GOURMET THANKSGIVING WITH MANDARIN ORIENTAL, HONG KONG

October 10, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong will offer the perfect solution for diners to celebrate Thanksgiving at home or at the hotel this year with a choice of lovingly prepared meals.

Back by popular demand, stylish Thanksgiving takeaway boxes will be available from The Mandarin Cake Shop. These special boxes will contain either a 7kg or 10kg roasted turkey, servings of stuffing, cranberry sauce, giblet gravy, and all the trimmings. If glazed ham is preferred, this option will also be available, complemented with sweet potato mash and Madeira sauce. Desserts will include pumpkin pie, salted butter pecan pie, hazelnut opera cake, or earl grey tea chocolate and apricot mousse cake. The Family Feast will include a roasted 10kg turkey with all the trimmings, a choice of a large pumpkin pie or salted butter pecan pie, and two bottles of 550ml organic apple cider. Created with convenience in mind, guests only need to place the items in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on size, to enjoy a five-star Thanksgiving meal in the privacy of their homes.

The Thanksgiving takeaway boxes will be available from 16 November until 1 December starting at HKD2,088 or HKD2,948 for the Family Feast. For orders, please contact The Mandarin Cake Shop at +852 2825 4008 or email [email protected] Delivery can be arranged throughout Hong Kong and the surrounding areas at an additional charge. A two days’ notice is required.

Alternatively, a range of tempting menus will be prepared by our talented culinary team at five restaurants for our guests to enjoy with family and friends this year. The Michelin-starred Mandarin Grill + Bar will serve unforgettable festive dishes with a dash of progressive gastronomy by Executive Chef Uwe Opocensky for lunch and dinner on Thanksgiving Day.
For a taste of tradition, the team at The Chinnery will serve festive dishes on 26 November. Between 23 and 26 November, festive lunch specials and themed dinner buffets will be offered at the Clipper Lounge, as well as festive lunch dishes and a superb Thanksgiving dinner table buffet at Café Causette. Scrumptious dishes include classic roasted turkey with all the trimmings, pumpkin soup, braised beef cheek, honey glazed ham, and a variety of delectable desserts. Prices for buffet are HKD568 for adults and HKD388 for children plus 10% service charge. The hotel’s popular Mandarin Cake Shop will offer Thanksgiving grab-and-go soup, salad, and sandwich options from 23 to 26 November. For further information, full prices or to make a reservation, please contact +852 2825 4828 or email [email protected].
