HIGH FIVE : The newly rebranded Grand Hyatt Incheon now houses five venues for superlative drinking and dining

May 26, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

With the addition of a brand new West Tower, the former Hyatt Regency Incheon has rebranded as Grand Hyatt Incheon and now offers five unique drinking and dining concepts: the new Grand Café, Swell Lounge and Pool House in the West Tower, joining Restaurant 8 and Vy Bar & Karaoke in the East Tower.

Grand Hyatt Incheon has been awarded Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification—the foremost certification of quality, safety and hygiene in food—from DNV in Norway, the world’s leading risk-management certification authority. The HACCP system controls food safety using scientific methods, ensuring that establishments provide guests with the freshest and safest food at all times.

Grand Café
Grand Café is the hotel’s spacious, light-filled all-day dining space, featuring an outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy alfresco dining alongside panoramic views of the West Sea. An interactive dining experience is provided from a series of live show kitchens where a buffet of authentic European and Asian comfort food is served. Fresh sushi and sashimi are skilfully prepared; beef and prawns are barbecued at the grill; and over twenty tempting treats are offered at the dessert kitchen, from chocolate éclairs to Eton Mess to traditional Korean desserts.

Swell Lounge
With an arched ceiling and comfortable seating, the sophisticated, cocoon-shaped Swell Lounge is the perfect place to relax over coffee, cocktails and light meals. An express business service is available at Swell Lounge, making it an ideal meeting venue.

Pool House
Pool House, on Level Two of the new West Tower, offers alfresco dining on a terrace by the pool. Drinks and light meals are offered throughout the day, and during the summer and special holidays, an evening barbecue is served.

Restaurant 8
Over in the East Tower, award-winning Restaurant 8 is a unique dining concept featuring eight distinctive restaurants in one—half of them specialising in Western fare, the other half offering Eastern dishes.
Each restaurant has its own authentic cuisine and ambience. With a spacious bar overlooking the Lobby, the contemporary Café serves French fare accompanied by carefully chosen wine and signature cocktails. Meanwhile, Cucina is an authentic Italian restaurant—awarded with Ospitalità Italiana certification by the Italian Chamber of Commerce—where authentic Italian cuisine, such as wood-fired pizzas, pastas and succulent meats and seafood, is prepared in an open kitchen. Deli offers freshly baked breads, creative sandwiches and tempting cakes, pastries, macaroons and hand-made chocolates, as well as coffee from our own blend. Alternatively, at Desserts, you can indulge in sinfully delicious French and Italian home-style puddings accompanied by the finest, aromatic coffees and teas.

Moving east, Grill greets guests with a spectacular market-style display where you can choose from traditional, home-style Korean kimchi and namul (seasoned vegetables), as well as choice cuts, fresh seafood and garden vegetables, charcoal-grilled to perfection. At Yakitori, meanwhile, an extensive array of skewered meat and seafood is prepared at a traditional Yakitori grill, accompanied by an impressive library of saké. Both sushi and sashimi is skilfully prepared with ocean-fresh seafood at Sushi, while Peking Duck and an impressive array of Asian-style noodles is available at Noodles.

For the last three years, Restaurant 8 has been a winner at the Wine Spectator Restaurant Wine List Awards, which recognises restaurants offering interesting, appropriate and appealing selections. The glass-walled wine cellar houses an impressive selection of around 4,000 bottles from all over the world.

Vy Bar & Karaoke
Vy Bar & Karaoke is an indulgent entertainment centre, featuring atmospheric lighting, an excellent sound system and private rooms for guests who prefer a more exclusive experience. Vy Bar & Karaoke serves a carefully curated selection of cocktails, whiskies and wines-by-the-glass, as well as a menu of hot and cold snacks and desserts.
