InterContinental Kuala Lumpur is magic this Christmas season, surrounding guests with holiday spirits in the iconic surroundings of the luxury hotel. Be enchanted by the festive dining line-up this year with Serena Brasserie’s festive buffet, and themed-gastronomic menus at signature restaurants, Tatsu Japanese Cuisine and Tao Chinese Cuisine. During this special time of the year, enjoy a home-cooked meal sans the hassle with an exquisite array of InterContinental Festive Takeaway.



MERII KURISUMASU DINING EXTRAVAGANZA



Meanwhile at Tatsu Japanese Cuisine, renowned Japanese Executive Chef Yanagida Tetsuya will reinterpret traditional festive favourites with a six-course menu priced at RM250++ per person. Ignite the appetite with a decadent foie gras salad and freshly flown-in assorted sashimi, followed by chef’s specially created seven-taste soup that will arouse the palate. Next, indulge in savoury dishes of Wagyu BBQ skewer, and yellowtail teppanyaki with fragrant garlic fried rice. End the satisfying meal with a trio of dessert platter featuring white chocolate pudding with green tea sauce, grilled banana topped with red bean paste and vanilla sauce, and tropical mango fruit.

SERENA BRASSERIE’S FESTIVE BUFFET

If festive buffet is high on the family agenda, then Serena Brasserie is a sure bet for a splendid Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day brunch buffet. Guests will be indulging in traditional Christmas spread of turkey roast with all the trimmings, Australian roasted prime rib of beef, Norwegian smoked salmon. The chilled seafood bar is filled to the brim with ocean’s treasure such as Fine de Claire, US oysters, baby lobster, Australian liveyabbies, crayfish, slipper lobster, spanner crab, mud crab, New Zealand green lip mussel, pacific prawns, and Harvey Bay half shell scallops. Keeping guests entertained, the live action stations allow guests to select their choice and watch chef prepares it a la minute. There will be stations of fresh sashimi, Japanese teppanyaki, Chinese noodles, satay medley, seafood BBQ, and Indian tandoori among the hot and cold dishes. The children’s corner has plenty to entice kids of all ages. Not to be missed, Santa will be making an appearance to share the Christmas joy to all. Christmas Eve dinner buffet is priced at RM168++ per adult and RM84++ per child for buffet only, upgrade is available at RM275++ per adult with free-flowing of red and white wines, draft beers, standard pour liquor (rum, whiskey, vodka, gin, bourbon) and egg nog. On Christmas Day, brunch buffet is priced at RM225++ per adult and RM112.5++ per child for buffet only. Upgrade is priced at RM275++ per adult with free-flowing of red and white wines, draft beers, standard pour liquor (rum, whiskey, vodka, gin, bourbon) and egg nog.

A TASTE OF CHINESE THIS CHRISTMAS



Chinese Executive Chef Wong Lian You brings an uncommonly authentic perspective to this year’s festive season at Tao Chinese Cuisine with a six-course set menu priced at RM168++ per person. Presenting his extensive culinary skills, the meal starts of with a Tao Christmas combination platter of chilled chicken percik on cucumber roll, steamed chawanmushi with foie gras sauce, and crispy oyster with wasabi mayonnaise and mango salsa. Chef has also carefully braised Australian abalone and seafood in pumpkin broth, next premium dishes include baked blue river prawns, pan-fried marinated New Zealand lamb cutlet, wok-fried rice with spicy sun-dried scallop sauce and lastly, homemade sponge cake served with green tea ice cream and warm chocolate sauce to end the deluxe meal.


FESTIVE TAKEAWAY
Aromas of homemade gingerbread cookies and festive goodies fill the air from the festive counter. Allowing families to truly enjoy a stress-free holiday, the deluxe Festive Takeaway priced from RM10+ offers various options from traditional Christmas carvings of Angus beef striploin, roasted stuffed turkey and the signature turducken (turkey, duck and baby chicken); assorted homemade cookies, chocolates and cakes. InterContinental Festive Takeaway is available from 1 to 25 December. Traditional carvings must be placed 2 days in advance; Christmas last order is on the 23 December and New Year is on the 29 December.

LIVE PERFORMANCE
It would be a white sensation this Christmas, adorned with glittering white decorations and whimsical lights, adding a touch of sentiment for a truly memorable and chic holiday season. Choir group Cattleya, by the Japanese Women’s Association will spread their allure to the magical atmosphere by performing live on 20 December from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at the hotel’s main lobby.
