TABLE 23 RESTAURANT & BAR , JALAN MESUI

October 1, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

table 23

Jalan Mesui is fast becoming another popular dining street near Changkat Bukit Bintang. Table 23 which is just a short work away from the busy street is simply a place to go where you will have the No Black Tie just next to it

table 23
It’s restaurant is simply easy to find with the colorful signboard and the restaurant is fitted with the nostalgic/eccentric sense of school chairs, antique items, and also a chalkboard with the beautiful arts.

table 23

Food wise, Table 23 serves standard European fare and topped with some Asian temptations to cter for the lunch and office crowds who is nearby.
table 23
Started with the Thai Beef Salad (RM 19.90); the marinated beef slices is well done with the complete juiciness and tender meat is served together with the Lollo Rosso, Roquette Leaf, Romanians Lettuce, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumber, Chilly Padi and Shallots. It is being served together with the Thai dressing for some kick of spiciness to the delicious salad.
table 23
Going to the mains; we had the Pan Seared Salmon Oven Dried Tomatoes Egg Plant and garnished with Roquette Leaf and Pine Nuts (RM 40.00). The Salmon comes in generous portion with the fresh and flaky texture of the fish itself. The taste comes flavourful with the zestiness blend from the dried tomato itself and every mouthful is divinely good.
table 23
The signature of the night would be the Beef Cheeks (RM78) where the beef cheeks is slowly braised for 6 hours. Served together with the diced parmentier potatoes with a crisp outer layer and powdery inside as well as the cherry tomato and sautéed Zuchini. It is well paired with the condiments where the beef cheeks comes so tender and they are indeed came right off when I put my knife through it. Nice.
table 23
As for the desserts, the signature of it would be the Chocolate Guinness Cake (RM20) where the dark chocolate cake is added with 1 pint of Guinness Beer in it. Served together with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. The cake is fluffy and every mouthful is simply indulging with the creaminess and the fragrant taste from the Guinness. It is absolutely my favorite.
table 23
The Apple Strudels (RM 18) which is made upon order is another desserts worth to try here in Table 23. Using fresh ingredients with the awesome blend, the taste is sweet and delicious. Melts in the mouth temptations, it is just awesome in every munch. Served together with a scope of vanilla ice cream.
table 23
For lunch, Table 23 also offers Asian Set Lunch at affordable price at RM 14.90++ where it comes together with a drink. The Curry Laksa which is one of the items for their lunches comes well with the choice of beehoon or yellow noodles served with tau pok, beansprout, egg and chilly. The soup comes mild on the spiciness but the creaminess is also toned down too. However, the flavours was there and pretty a good one to try.
