RAMADHAN DELIGHTS AT ON THE TABLE, SOLARIS DUTAMAS

June 22, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

On The Table (OTT) is indeed a place to gather with families and enjoying the delicious food serving at the front of your table. The restaurant is located near the Publika which is a famous place to dine. We are pleasured to be invited to review the restaurant for their Ramadhan menu. The restaurant opened its doors back in 2010, with Corporate Chef Riz, son of celebrity chef, Chef Wan leading the culinary team. I am in love with the place which gives me a relaxing ambience during the whole meal.

We are giving the opportunity to sample the two sets menu to sample for their Ramadhan meals.

Set Menu 1 (RM19.90)
Starter: Dates ,Spring rolls and Keropok
Appetizer: Kerabu Mango Or Pumpkin Soup
Main Course: Nasi Goreng Kerabu Or Spaghetti Olio Or Grilled Chicken
Dessert: Dessert Platter
Drinks: Sirap Bandung

Set Menu 2 (RM29.90)
Starter: Dates ,Spring rolls and Keropok
Appetizer: Caesar Salad Or Tom Yam Soup
Main Course: Nasi Goreng Mama Yati Or Spaghetti Marinara Or Mushroom Melt Burger
Dessert: Dessert Platter
Drinks: Sirap Bandung

Starter

To start off, we are served with the Dates, Spring Rolls and Keropok to start our dine for the ramadhan meal. Usually dates are the bites to starts of after the whole day of fasting. The appetizer which comes with dates, spring rolls and the keropok is good to start of the food

Appetizers

Set 1

We kicked off with the starters which is for the 2 different sets and we tried all of it as well. We started the meal with the Mango Kerabu which is where the mango are being sliced and it is then topped with some onions and crunchy peanuts with it. The mango kerabu appeared to be slightly soury at the start and upon finishing, I can taste the spiciness and it is indeed a great appetizers to start off.

If you prefer some soup instead, you may opt for the pumpkin soup which is simply creamy and full of the pumpkin taste. The portion is good enough and it is simply delighting as well.

Set 2

The appetizers for set 2 will be a caesar salad will be bringing the healthy greenies together with chunks of breadcrumbs as well as simply fresh greenies. This is really good.

If you prefer something spicy, you may opt for a tomyam instead. The tomyam is indeed good where it is served with a prawns, squids as well as mussles with it.The portion is good for one and the tomyam is simply spicy and I am loving it so much with the good nice amount of spiciness with it.

Mains

Set 1

The Nasi Goreng Kerabu is well fried with their home recepies with herbs and spices and it is served togethere with the spiced chicken with it. The taste is well combined together and it is indeed a pleasure having the meals as well.

There is other options to opt for where we had the spaghetti aglio olio. The meal is indeed a good one to have as well. The Aglio Olio is good where the portion is indeed a generous portion of mushrooms with it which I love it so much.

If you prefer to have some westerns, they do have an option of the grilled chicken. The Grilled Chicken is well made where the chicken is well grilled with perfection with the whole chicken thigh with it. The chicken is meat is tender and the portion is served with the bed of fries is simply delicious as well.

SET 2

The set 2 also offers 3 different mains to choose. as well. There is a variety of mains to be choosen like Nasi Goreng Mama Yati which is where the fried rice is well fried and added with the sunny egg on top. It is served with a big tiger prawns with it as well.

Last but not least, if you are a burger lover, you may try the Mushroom Melt Burger which comes with the huge patty of beef, with lettuce, cheese and mushroom sauce. The portion was a big one and it is simply juicy as well.

Desserts

To end our meals, we had some desserts too. Dessert Platter is one of the items which is being served for the meal where the platter served with slices of Malaysian Delights kuih muih and a panna cotta with it. Here ends our meal.
