WANDA HOTELS & RESORTS LIGHTS UP THE CHINA INCENTIVES, BUSINESS TRAVEL AND MEETINGS IN BEIJING

August 10, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

International luxury hotel group Wanda Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce its participation at the China Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (CIBTM) international expo at the China National Convention Centre on 5th and 6th August, where the group showcased its vastly expanded portfolio and future development plans.

Besides sharing its growing portfolio of domestic luxury hotels, the group also announced plans to expand overseas by 2018, which yet again made Wanda Hotels & Resorts a key highlight among exhibitors at the expo. Holding firm on its market leading position yet with significant potential for further growth, the group received a total of 300 meeting invitations from potential suppliers and business partners during the run of the exhibition.

Wanda Hotels & Resorts currently owns three subsidiary hotel brands, namely the five-star Wanda Realm, upscale five-star Wanda Vista, and luxury hotel brand Wanda Reign. This year the subsidiary brands have continued to enjoy steady growth. Besides the addition of eight new Wanda Realm locations, Wanda Vista marked the opening of its first resort hotel, the Wanda Vista Xishuangbanna, on September 26, and its next hotel in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia is set to open in November. To top it all off, the much-anticipated new Wanda Reign hotel will open its doors on December 18 in the rapidly developing heritage city of Chengdu.

By the end of 2015 Wanda will own 85 premium five-star hotels across China, including 38 properties jointly operated by renowned international hospitality groups and 47 properties independently operated by Wanda Hotels & Resorts. By the end of 2020, Wanda aims to own over 160 properties worldwide, including in London, Madrid, Chicago, Los Angeles, Sydney and the Australian Gold Coast.

The Wanda Realm, Wanda Vista and Wanda Reign hotel brands have all received high acclaim for its past collaborations, and the successful proceedings of the group’s overseas expansion plans have also helped to boost confidence for future partnership opportunities to develop market-leading luxury hotels in both domestic and international markets.

Wanda Hotels & Resorts was also selected by CIBTM for the prestigious award of “The Most Influential Hotel Group”. “We are committed to our company mission to ‘uphold Chinese values, build mutual respect, and perform beyond expectations’, and we aim to become a leader in the hotel market, for which we will continue to build our business and MICE travel offerings,” says Wanda Hotels & Resorts president Mr Qian Jin. “This award is a great encouragement, and we thank our respected industry peers as well as our valued guests for their confidence and acknowledgement. We will continue to uphold our service philosophy of ‘consistent hospitality, from the heart’ and strive for the highest standards in service and facilities to deliver an outstanding experience for our guests,” Mr Qian continues.

After several years of expansion, the annual CIBTM Beijing expo has become a not-to-be-missed event for the business and incentive travel industry in Asia. Jointly organized by the China National Tourism Administration and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the 2015 installment of this expo has attracted the participation of over 300 domestic and international tourism management companies, airlines, hotel and hotel management groups, business centers, travel agencies, rail and ferry lines, along with over 4,000 attendees and over 300 professional buyers.
