THE NEW MENU FROM PLOY @CLEARWATER

May 15, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

Ploy is indeed a great restaurant to visit where it does brings up the modern fell with the classy decoration. It is my second time to Ploy after my first visit to sample their old menu. Their new menu which brings us more surprises with Chef Kenny is not disappointing us though. The delicious foods there are well made and served to our palate where the dishes are simply scrumptious.

We started our dinner with salads. There are 2 types of salads which is being served to us which includes the Tuna Wakame Salad and the Golden Needle Salad. Started of with the Tuna Wakame Salad is being served with chunks of tuna cubes, avocado, and sesame in shoyu dressing. The tuna wakame salad is impressively good where it brings up a slight saltiness from the shoyu itself.
Price: RM 23.00

The Golden Needle Salad is simply interesting. It is served with tofu, avocado, broccoli, and wafu dressing. The salad is amazingly good with the crispy deep fried noodles topped above. The wafu dressing compliments well together with the avocado, broccoli and the deep fried noodle. It’s salad brings up a refreshing taste of the salad itself.
Price: RM 15.00

– Tempura Surprise-

– Tempura Surprise-

Tempura Surprise is where the seabass fish is being wrapped wit the oba leaf and it is then being deep fried. Crispy at the outside and pipping hot in the inside does not disappoint me too. I am just falling in love with it.
Price: RM 15.00

Drolling next to my tummy is the Kabocha Tempura.Kabocha Tempura where the pumpkin is being sliced and deep fried together with the salted egg together with it. Deliciously well made with the hint of light saltiness that comes from the salted egg itself, the Kobocha Tempura is really good.
Price: RM 8.50

– Crab in Wrap-

– Crab in Wrap-

Coming next is some sushi, Crab in Wrap is a special sushi so called where the Chef made a blend of the Thai and Japanese influences in it. The Crab in wrap is where the sushi is being wrapped with soft shell crab, Avocado, mango, sushi rice. It is then topped with the spicy maki on top. Every mouthful is simply delicious and addictive where the spicy maki sauce is well blend together with sushi itself.
Price: RM 28.00

– The Magic Puff-

– The Magic Puff-

The Magic Puff another signature from Ploy which is impressively good. The homemade Crispy Pastry with Goat Cheese, Truffle Oil and Wild Rocket is superb where the hint of truffle oil and pungent spread of cheese makes the puff simply delicious. It is crispy on the puff itself while the taste of the truffle oil and cheese makes the difference of the overall Magic Puff.
Price: RM32.00

– Godfather Special-

– Godfather Special-

Godfather Special something interesting with the name itself where it is a rice dish of course. The salmon ikura don with avocado, royu and nori (seaweed) in tempura flakes on top. The tempura flakes is crispy and the fresh salmon together makes the dish even perfect.
Price: RM22.00

– Pasta from Heaven-

– Pasta from Heaven-

Pasta from Heaven is where the angel hair spaghetti is being served together with the sakura ebi and flying fish roie with the truffle oil. Decent dish but brings us with surprises where the sakura ebi mix a well combination with the angel fair spaghetti.
Price: RM28.00

– Smoked Duck Breast with Chicken Ham Pizza-

– Smoked Duck Breast with Chicken Ham Pizza-

Last but not least, we had the Smoked Duck Breast with Chicken Ham Pizza. Awesome pizza with the thin crust and topped with scrumptious of ham and yummy duck breast meat. The thin crust pizza is being topped with the avacado sauce and it is sprinkle with the flying fihs roe on top. I love the duck breast meat which is simply juicy and with the avacado sauce that topped with it, is just superb and I wanted more.

Ended our meals with the desserts,. sticky date pudding, durian panna cotta and creme caramel. The desserts is simply good where I am falling in love with the durian panna cotta. This is where they use Raja Kunyit durian in their desserts which makes it so delicious. The fragrant from the durian itself makes the overall taste just nice with the ommph of the durian blend.
