Lunar Reverie Mooncake Collection @ Sheraton Petaling Jaya

September 22, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

As the Mid-Autumn Festival draws near, Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, City Centre and Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre are marking the season with two distinctive mooncake collections that celebrate tradition through contemporary design.

From reusable keepsake packaging to an ultra-limited jewellery collaboration, the Lunar Reverie Mooncake Collection and Mid-Autumn Opulence offer two very different interpretations of festive gifting — one centred on thoughtful sustainability and the other on unapologetic luxury.

Lunar Reverie: Tradition Meets Thoughtful Design

At Sichuan Kitchen, located within Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, City Centre, this year’s Lunar Reverie Mooncake Collection gives traditional festive gifting a modern and practical update.

The halal-certified collection is available in two presentations, each designed to live on beyond the Mid-Autumn celebration.

Priced at MYR128 nett, The Artisan Collection comes presented in a contemporary fabric knot bag. Its understated design offers a fresh interpretation of traditional Chinese gift wrapping while providing a reusable accessory after the festivities are over.

For a more substantial presentation, The Signature Collection, priced at MYR198 nett, is housed in an intricately crafted wooden keepsake box complete with handle detailing. Elegant yet functional, the box is designed for lasting use, making it part of the gift rather than simply its packaging.

Familiar Flavours for the Festive Table

Inside, the collection stays close to the flavours traditionally associated with Mid-Autumn celebrations.

The baked mooncake selection features White Lotus Single Yolk, Pure Lotus Single Yolk, Red Bean with Almond Flakes and Black Sesame Lotus.

Together, they offer a balance of familiar flavours and textures, making the collection particularly suitable for family gatherings, festive visits and corporate gifting.

Guests who place their orders by 15 August 2026 can enjoy a 20% early-bird discount through Sichuan Kitchen’s official ordering platform.

Mid-Autumn Opulence: Mooncakes Meet Fine Jewellery

At Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre, festive gifting takes a considerably more extravagant turn.

For 2026, the hotel has collaborated with luxury artisan J&Kel Jade & Jewel to introduce Mid-Autumn Opulence, an exclusive gift set that combines traditional mooncakes with jewellery and an elegant keepsake presentation.

Limited to just 20 sets, the collection is priced at MYR1,368 nett, positioning it firmly as a statement gift for those seeking something beyond the conventional mooncake box.

At the heart of the presentation is a vanity-style jewellery box with an opal-inspired finish and pull-out drawer. Designed as a lasting keepsake, it houses not only the festive treats but also a specially created jewellery set.

Each collection includes a custom-designed pearl necklace and matching earrings, accented with a delicate silver moon motif — an appropriate nod to the symbolism of reunion and the full moon associated with the festival.

Four Premium Mooncakes Complete the Set

Alongside the jewellery, recipients receive four halal-certified baked mooncakes in flavours including White Lotus Single Yolk, Pure Lotus Single Yolk, Black Sesame Lotus and Red Bean with Almond Flakes.

The combination of jewellery, keepsake packaging and traditional pastries transforms the collection into something closer to a luxury gift experience than a conventional festive hamper.

An early-bird discount of 20% is available for pre-orders placed by 15 August 2026, subject to availability of the limited-edition sets.

Two Distinct Expressions of Mid-Autumn Gifting

While both collections celebrate the same festival, their approaches could hardly be more different.

Sichuan Kitchen’s Lunar Reverie leans towards practicality, sustainability and accessible elegance, with reusable packaging and familiar halal-certified flavours.

Renaissance Kuala Lumpur’s Mid-Autumn Opulence, meanwhile, turns festive gifting into a luxury statement through its jewellery collaboration and exceptionally limited production.

Together, the two collections reflect how today’s Mid-Autumn traditions continue to evolve — preserving the symbolism of reunion and gifting while embracing contemporary design, craftsmanship and personal expression.

For those planning to celebrate the season with family, friends, business partners or valued clients, these 2026 collections offer two memorable ways to present one of Mid-Autumn Festival’s most enduring traditions: the gift of mooncakes.
