Marina Bay Sands will be dedicating the month of August to rally its Team Members, charity partners and the wider public in support of causes closest to home, as the Sands for Singapore Charity Festival returns for its 12th edition.
Since its inception in 2013, the Festival has helped raise more than $45 million for social causes in Singapore, supporting beneficiaries including low-income families, youths, seniors, and persons with disabilities.
A flagship initiative under Sands Cares, Marina Bay Sands’ community engagement programme, the Festival has evolved beyond fundraising into a platform for collective giving, transforming everyday experiences into opportunities for guests to give back in meaningful ways.
From 28 to 30 August, Sands for Singapore Charity Festival will transform Event Plaza into a vibrant waterfront celebration of food, music and community impact. The three-night programme will include fundraising experiences, community booths and complimentary entertainment designed to encourage the public to give back in accessible and engaging ways.
The opening night on 28 August will feature Singaporean artist RRILEY who first debuted as a founding member of local pop quartet The Sam Willows. Guests can also enjoy The Good Bites Market, a curation of five gourmet pop-up experiences that will channel proceeds to support multi-service, non-profit organisation, AWWA. The proceeds will support the Enabled Living @ Bedok programme, a pilot initiative to empower individuals with disabilities in independent living. At Impact Match, the public can create digital school packs containing essential school supplies. Each successful digital school pack will be matched by Marina Bay Sands for students at NorthLight School to support their holistic development and provide financial assistance to those in need.
Beyond the Event Plaza weekend, the Festival will extend opportunities for public participation through Dine for Good, a month-long campaign that will dedicate proceeds from selected dishes to support AWWA’s Enabled Living @ Bedok programme. To commemorate the 12th Festival, 12 signature and celebrity chef restaurants at Marina Bay Sands have each selected a hallmark dish for this campaign to support communities in need.
