MALIQA MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE, DAMANSARA HEIGHTS

April 4, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

Nested at Damansara Height, we stumbled upon a restaurant by the name of Maliqa, a title of Arabic origin that is used in Persia for a queen consort. The restaurant well decorated with mirrors and the beautiful lovely interior designs, carpets as well as their lovely lights and more.

It has the feeling of going to a Mediterranean though . MALIQA had only just opened its doors on the 30th August 2012 catering to a selection of Mediterranean food, ranging from Italian, Greek, Spanish and Turkish. It is like having everything in one roof though.

– Pirincli Yoghurt & Carbasi-

– Pirincli Yoghurt & Carbasi-

We started with the Pirincli Yoghurt & Carbasi. The flavorful and addictive soup I ever had. The soup is different from the usual soup we had always in other restaurants. The thick yoghurt based soup with minced chicken, and bits of long grain rice. It brings the light soury taste and yet appetizing blend.
Price: RM 12.90

– The Portobello mushroom-

– The Portobello mushroom-

The Portobello mushroom is being sliced and it then being deep fried till perfection. Crunchy at the outside and bringing juiciness in the inside is what you can enjoy for the Funghi Fritta in Maliqa. When I have my first bite of the mushroom, it is really superb and I am completely to fall in love with it. The crunchy and yet well fried item is indeed superb and you may choose to dip them with their home made tartar sauce.
Price: RM 13.90

– Moussaka-

– Moussaka-
Moussaka, the Turkey dish is being served on the table where the sautéed aubergines, green peppers, tomatoes, onions are well baked in ground of beef. Well baked till golden brown and served at our table, the delightful smells from the dish itself does all the talking where it is so good that we could not stop of grabbing them. The beef meat is well layered with the juicy and tender meat inside.
Price: RM 23.90

Brushetta Salmon, an antipasto from Italy where the fresh salmon is being smoked and served with the olive oi together with the fresh tomatoes with it. The salmon is simply fresh and with the light sour tomatoes with it, it is simply refreshing and also appetizing to me.
Price: RM 12.90

Lamb Pilay is simply a good dish to try off. The lamb is well roasted and served with a bowl of rice. The rice may also attain its brown color by being stirred with bits of cooked onion, as well as a large mix of spices. No gamey flavours ith the tender and juicy meat makes everything just perfect,
RM30.90

Maliqa House Steak , another signature item of Maliqa where the delicious beef steak is smothered in a cheese and mushroom sauce. When the dish arrived at our table the aroma itself was enough perfectly cooked, succulent and smooth and with the enough gravy to eat to my hearts content.
Price: RM46.90

Pizza Volcano’s , the thin crust pizza where the margheritta cheese is being topped with roast chicken, turkey ham, green pepper, mushroom and cheddar cheese. The thin crust pizza is well toasted and the food is amazingly crunchy on its crust and the filling is amazingly food as well.
Price: RM26.90

Next is the Penne Arabiata, a pasta delights where the tube pasta are well cooked with the chicken, black olive with the tomato sauce. The Penne Arabiata is just well cooked and the taste is very good and delicious. It is just nice at its portion and tastes which we are totally fall in love with it.
Price RM19.90

If you are a chicken lover, the chicken served just right with the scrumptious juicy chicken meat with the choice of black pepper or mushroom. It is being dressed with the salad dressing and potato. The chicken meat is simply tender and yet juicy as well.
Price: RM 23.90

The Burritos Beef is where the tortilla is being stuffed with the juicy fillings includes salad, tomato, minced beef, smoke beef, thousand island and cheddar cheese. The beef is simply well minced and the taste is simply flavorful. Price: RM 24.90

The Italian dessert, Tiramisu is sinfully good where the portion was practically generous and the light cake gives a chocolaty or mocha tasting. It’s very delish and the overall blend is just wonderful.
Price: RM8.90

Panna cotta an Italian cooked Cream in Maliqa is a great Italian dessert where it is made by simmering together cream, milk and sugar with the gelatin. The Panna Cotta is simply added with honey, yogurt as well as peach. Not too sweet, the panna cotta is just nice and well made.
