Celebrate Freedom in Style This Merdeka at Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur

August 21, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

This Merdeka Eve, Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, invites Malaysians and visitors to rise above the city and embrace the true spirit of Merdeka – a celebration of unity, heritage and freedom – with a series of unforgettable celebrations set against the glittering skyline of Malaysia’s capital.

Standing tall at 53 storeys in the heart of the city, the urban sanctuary offers 275 private-pool rooms & suites and refined 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom residences, seamlessly blending contemporary luxury with warm Malaysian hospitality. Guests staying in rooms and suites with panoramic KLCC views will enjoy a front-row seat to Kuala Lumpur’s spectacular fireworks show as the clock strikes midnight on 31 August – a once-in-a-lifetime Merdeka memory.

“Merdeka is a time of reflection and celebration for all Malaysians – a reminder of our shared heritage and the strength of our unity. At Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, we are honoured to be part of this national celebration by curating experiences that showcase the very best of Malaysian culture, cuisine and hospitality. As we gather beneath the same sky to witness the fireworks, we also celebrate freedom, togetherness and pride as one nation”, said Dato’ Prof. Mandy Chew Siok Cheng, President, Lexis Hotel Group.

An Unparalleled Merdeka Celebration — One Exclusive Gathering, One Spectacular View

For those seeking the pinnacle of prestige, Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur presents a once-in-a-lifetime private celebration – limited to just one exclusive booking. At RM30,000 nett, host up to 30 of your closest friends and family, in an evening where every moment is thoughtfully crafted – from a lavish buffet dinner  of over 150 Malaysian delicacies at Roselle Coffee House, celebrating the nation’s rich culinary heritage, to nostalgic games that rekindle timeless traditions. As midnight approaches, ascend to the SkyDeck for the city’s most coveted front-row view of the KLCC and KL Tower fireworks, where dazzling bursts of color light up the skyline. From the flavours of Malaysia to breathtaking skyline views, this is Merdeka reimagined – elevated, exclusive and unforgettable.

Freedom Above The City

On 30 August, the celebrations soar to new heights at Satellite Restaurant & Bar (Level 53). From 8:00pm to midnight, guests can revel in unrivalled panoramic views of the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Towers, Merdeka 118 and TRX; and toast to freedom with premium spirits, curated bites and live beats by DJ Baby Wasabi. Entrance is via a minimum cover charge of RM150 nett per person (inclusive of 1 drink). Choose between exclusive VIP zones with front-row fireworks views (at RM1,868 nett for 4 to 6 pax), or the stylish main terrace, featuring unparalleled vistas of the Kuala Lumpur skyline (at RM 868 nett for 2 to 4 pax), complemented by Moët & Chandon packages, top-shelf labels, and a special “2 Bottles is Better Than 1” promotion.

Meanwhile, Level 51 transforms into a glittering stage for “Freedom at Fifty1”. Begin the evening with a refined 3-course dinner at Feast at FIFTY1 (6:00pm – 10:00pm), followed by after-dinner indulgence at the restaurant’s stylish bar (last order at 11:30 pm), or continue the celebration at the breezy Poolside Bistro (8:00pm – midnight). Raise a glass of champagne or sip on a handcrafted cocktail under the stars as dazzling fireworks light up the skyline at eye level – all for a cover charge of just RM150 nett per person (inclusive of 1 drink).

Raise a Glass to Malaysia

Throughout August and September, toast the nation’s independence with limited-edition  cocktails inspired by local favourites. Sip on the bold Ais Cham Whisky Cocktail (RM58 nett) – a spirited twist on Malaysia’s iconic kopi cham – or the refreshing Sirap Selasih Gin Cocktail (RM48 nett) infused with rose, pandan, and sweet nostalgia. Available daily from 9:00am to midnight, each glass captures the vibrant soul of Malaysia.

Celebrate Merdeka the Imperial Way

Whether it’s  an exclusive gathering, a rooftop toast, or a patriotic feast, Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur promises a Merdeka celebration that combines Malaysian heritage with cosmopolitan flair.
