Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong Unveils Artistic Afternoon Tea in Collaboration with SAUVEREIGN

October 9, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

In a harmonious blend of culinary artistry and haute couture, The Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong presents an exquisite afternoon tea experience in partnership with luxury maison brand SAUVEREIGN. This limited-time offering, available from October 1 through November 30, 2024, draws inspiration from SAUVEREIGN’s latest KLY64 Gem collection, paying tribute to the iconic works of American artist Ellsworth Kelly.

A Palette of Flavours

SAUVEREIGN KLY64 is an exquisite assemblage of 15 distinct sculptural ornaments, or gems, unique and signature to the maison, standing as the aesthetic cornerstone of this afternoon tea experience. Expertly curated by Executive Chef Maxime Luvara, the savoury course tantalizes the palate with a harmonious blend of flavours and textures. Guests will savour delicate morsels of smoked salmon adorned with cream cheese and glistening salmon roe, alongside an innovative pairing of egg with wasabi mayonnaise, crowned with luxurious Kristal caviar. The savoury journey continues with rich duck rillettes accompanied by foie gras, and culminates in a warm offering of baked Parisian ham embraced by creamy Brie cheese.

Meanwhile, the sweet assortment, crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Ringo Chan, presents a symphony of tastes and textures that pay homage to Kelly’s vibrant palette. A chestnut and grapefruit creation offers a delightful interplay of earthy and citrus notes, while the honey-yoghurt and pistachio confection provides a harmonious balance of sweetness and nuttiness. The forest berry macaron adds a touch of whimsy with its vibrant hue and delicate crunch, and a mandarin-caramel chocolate tart rounds out the selection with its rich, velvety texture.

No afternoon tea would be complete without scones. Both classic and raisin varieties are served warm, accompanied by house-made lychee and rose jam, traditional red berries jam, and sumptuous Devonshire cream, providing a perfect conclusion to this culinary journey.

SAUVEREIGN KLY64: 24K Gold Leaf and Art to Wear

SAUVEREIGN KLY64 is created by Bertrand Mak, Founder and Chief Creator of SAUVEREIGN. Each gem, imbued with a unique hue, reflects a bold artistic vision, characterised by a masterful use of colour and form. This collection invites patrons to transcend conventional luxury, offering them the opportunity to express their individuality through bespoke, customisable accessories.

SAUVEREIGN (est. 2020) is an independent luxury house founded in Hong Kong creating precious artisanal art objects. The house’s creative philosophy is defined by its exhaustive material investigation, its collaboration with master craftsmen from different corners of the world, as well as its commitment in generating value beyond what meets the eye. SAUVEREIGN creations have been championed by prominent figures including Oscar winners and royalty including Lady Violet Manners, Lady Amelia and Eliza Spencer, Zara Tindall, Olivia Colman, Cillian Murphy and Dame Kristin Scott Thomas.

A Special Gift for Patrons

Patrons of this unique afternoon tea experience will receive a special gift card for use at SAUVEREIGN. This includes an exclusive shopping offer and an exquisite Italian artisan fan, handmade in France, with any purchase of full-priced items, allowing them to take a piece of this artistic collaboration home.

On weekdays, from Monday to Friday, the Solo Set is priced at HKD 495, while the Duetto Set for two is available at HKD 808. Weekend indulgence comes at a slight premium, with the Solo Set priced at HKD 505* and the Duetto Set at HKD 848* on Saturdays and Sundays. Each set includes one drink per person, offering a choice of loose leaf tea or coffee. For those wishing to elevate their experience further, a glass of Champagne Henriot Brut Souverain NV can be added for HKD 220, perfectly complementing the refined flavours of the afternoon tea.

This limited-time afternoon tea at The Lounge represents a rare confluence of gastronomy, art, and haute couture. For reservations and further details, ontact (852) 3196 8820 or email [email protected] for any enquiries.
