Emily’s Steakhouse: A Meat Lover’s Paradise in Kuala Lumpur

October 3, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Kuala Lumpur, Emily’s Steakhouse stands as a testament to fine dining and an unparalleled love for meats. With its roots tracing back to an award-winning butcher with over 15 years of experience, it’s no surprise that this establishment boasts premium quality and taste in every dish.

The Ambience

The immediate charm of Emily’s Steakhouse is its European-inspired decor. The tastefully done interiors, with soft lighting and artful touches, evoke a sense of warmth and sophistication. Walking in, you are not merely entering a restaurant but stepping into an experience. From the moment we entered, the attentive staff, greeting us with genuine smiles, set the tone for what was to be an exquisite evening.

The seating is strategically designed to cater to various dining experiences. Whether you’re looking for an intimate meal with a loved one, a casual dinner with friends, or even a business meeting, Emily’s Steakhouse has the perfect spot for you. The plush chairs and spacious tables ensure comfort throughout your meal, allowing you to truly savor each bite. For those in search of a more exclusive dining experience, the restaurant’s private rooms are a boon. Perfect for larger groups, parties, or private meetings, these rooms offer the luxury of solitude.

Food

Moving to the food, they offer a vast variety of delicious meals to go for. One can start their meals with some appetizer, salad, soup, mains and the desserts.

Mushroom Soup (RM 25)

At Emily’s Steakhouse, before diving into the main course, the Mushroom Soup sets the tone for what’s to come. Priced at RM 25, it may seem like a simple dish on the menu, but its complexity in flavors speaks volumes about the culinary expertise behind its creation.

The blend of mushrooms – shitake, portobello, cremini, and the English Mushroom – paints a mosaic of earthy tones, each contributing its own unique flavor and texture to the soup. Rather than a singular note, you’re treated to a symphony of mushroom goodness. The consistency of the soup strikes a delicate balance between creamy and light, ensuring it doesn’t overwhelm the palate but rather preps it for the dishes that are yet to grace the table.

What truly stands out about this soup, apart from its hearty flavors, is its rich aroma. As soon as it’s placed on the table, you’re greeted by an enticing whiff that is unmistakably mushroom. It’s an aroma that promises warmth and comfort and the soup delivers on every front.

Seafood Soup with Ginger Broth (RM 26)

Upon the first sip, the warmth of the ginger broth envelopes the senses. This isn’t the overpowering heat of ginger, but a gentle warmth that acts as a soothing backdrop for the seafood stars of the soup – the prawns and mussels. These seafood elements are impeccably fresh, with the prawns delivering a delightful snap with each bite and the mussels adding a touch of briny sweetness. And whats more, with the brooth, it brings you with the rich and aromatic flavours.

Crab Meat Salad (RM 28)

The Crabmeat Salad brings you with a refreshing and light yet incredibly flavorful experience that captures the essence of the coast. At the heart of the salad lies the meticulously prepared crab meat. Off the shell, this pristine seafood offers tender, succulent bites that bring forth the flavors of the ocean in their most unadulterated form. The cold preparation ensures that the natural sweetness of the crab is preserved, making each bite a pure delight.

Paired with the crab meat is an array of fresh greenies. These leafy vegetables not only add a vibrant hue to the plate but also introduce a crisp texture that contrasts beautifully with the softness of the crab. The greens are fresh, crunchy, and burst with earthy flavors that ground the dish.

However, what truly ties all the components together is the balsamic vinegar dressing. The acidity and subtle sweetness of the balsamic beautifully offset the richness of the crab, balancing the dish. This drizzle of tangy goodness elevates the salad from a mere mix of ingredients to a harmonious melody of flavors.

Crabpot with Toast (RM28)

The Crab Pot with Toast is a delightful concoction that sings the song of the sea. Brimming with the delicate sweetness of crabmeat, its richness is accentuated by Emily’s signature homemade dressing. This blend of flavors gives the crabmeat a fresh and lively twist. What makes it even more exceptional is the decision to serve it cold, ensuring that each bite is refreshing and the textures of the crabmeat are preserved in its pristine state. Accompanying the Crabpot is the toast, and oh, what a pairing it is! The comes with the  golden-brown crust and soft insides is perfectly paired with the chunky crabmeat.

Surf & Turf With Skewered Tiger Prawn ( 2 pcs) (RM 20)

At the heart of this dish is the Skewered Tiger Prawn – a choice selection known for its magnificent size and delectable taste. Each prawn is meticulously skewered and grilled to perfection, ensuring a smoky aroma complemented by the naturally sweet and juicy flesh of the prawn.

What makes our Tiger Prawns stand out is their freshness. Sourced from pristine waters, they promise a succulent bite that’s plump and brimming with the rich flavors of the sea. The dish, in its entirety, offers a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that pay homage to the finest offerings of land and sea.

Ribeye Steak Burger (RM 38)

The Ribye Steakburger is definitely a must to go for. The centerpiece of this dish is, of course, the ribeye. Known for its marbling and tenderness, ribeye is a premium cut of beef that promises both flavor and a melt-in-the-mouth experience. At Emily’s, they take this already exquisite meat and char-grill it to perfection.

The exterior boasts a slightly crispy sear, locking in the juices and enhancing the beef’s natural flavors. As you take a bite, the steak reveals its medium-rare center, tender and bursting with rich, meaty goodness. The steak is thoughtfully paired with homemade chips and onion rings that offer a delightful crunch, a satisfying counterpoint to the softness of the ribeye.

French Baked Salmon With Potato Gratin (RM 78)

The Dish brings you with the rich texture and a distinctive flavours. Served with it; you can enjoy the delicately flaky texture that melts in the mouth and we love the buttery notes which give us a good perfect combination together with the mushroom sauce.

What’s make it perfect is the luscious, velvety blanket together with the earthy notes of the mushroom in it, They are sinfully addictive with the generous layer of melted cheese graces the top, introducing a layer of gooey richness.

We ends our meals with their brownies and the apple crumble. Both the desserts are perfectly done and made it to our favourite .

Apple Crumble

The Apple Criumble brings you with the comforting delights. The The apples, stewed to perfection, retained a slight bite and were enveloped in a syrup that was a delightful balance of sweet and tangy. The crumble on top was a study in contrasts: buttery, crispy, and lightly spiced with cinnamon. They are topped with the vanilla ice cream creating a creamy sauce that elevated the dish from familiar to exquisite.

Brownies

With a surface that boasted a delicate crust and an interior that was luxuriously fudgy, every bite was a mix of textures that complemented each other flawlessly. Served slightly warm, it contrasted beautifully with the dollop of cold vanilla ice cream on the side, resulting in a heavenly duo that danced harmoniously on the palate.

Overall, it is indeed a great experience enjoying the superb delights from Emily’s Steakhouse. If you are looking for an awesome meal with the European touch, this is indeed the place to visit
