Hungry Bacon @ Damansara Utama : Best Porklicious Meal!

September 5, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

It’s time to visit this awesome dining place in Damansara Utama by the name of Hungry Bacon. Hungry Bacon is one of the restaurants which is worth to visit for their porklicious meal. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with great ambience and friendly staff.

Why Hungry Bacon?

The restaurant is named after their pet dog by the name of Bacon. As Bacon loves to eat and she is always hungry, therefore the owner named the restaurant “Hungry Bacon”

The menu is simple and the menu is specially curated by their chef. Even though the menu is not extensive but one can definitely find their favorites here.

Ultimate Nachos (RM43)

The Corn Tortilla Chips is beautifully drizzled with cheese sauce serve with the bacon chili corn carne, sour cream, guacamole , pico de galo, jalapenos and bacon bits. They are superbly delicious especially with the creamy cheese. Love it so much!

Bacon Wrapped Pumpkin Salad (RM 32)

It is  uniquely presented  and beautifully served on our table! . The slow roasted pumpkin wedge is beautifully wrapped with bacon, and it is served together with the rocket, spinach, chickpeas, sundried tomatoes, feta cheese, pine nuts and balsamic pearls. The dish is extremely delicious and we love it so much. The pumpkin is soft and juicy. It is well infused with the aromatic bacon flavors in it and each mouthful is superbly good!

Pork Shoulder Chop (RM 38)

This is a must to have! The pork shoulder is being brined for 48 hours and it is pan-fried till perfection. It is served together with the truffle mash, broccoli, romescu, herb butter and gravy. The pork shoulder comes simply tender and juicy.

Nasi Kerabu Babi Percik Kembar (RM 38)

I love the nasi kerabu so much. This in insanely delicious. The blue pea flower rice is served  together with their Signature Babi Percik Kembar, solok lada, salted egg, ulam, fish crackers, budu and the spicy addictive sambal belachan. This definitely fix my cravings for Nasi Kerabu and it is one of the best I have eaten!

BBQ Ribs (RM70)

The ribs are being slow-cooked for hours till perfection; The spareribs is then basted with  your choice of sauce and sides with fries, coleslaw and cornbread. It is served together with your choice of sauce like garlic bbq, sweet Guinness, or black pepper sauce. The meat is so juicy and tender. Love it so much!

As for the desserts, you must try their awesomely prepared dessert which is the  Chocalate Lava Cake. The chocolate lava cake is perfectly done where once you cut them, you can witness the oozy creamy chocolate sauce coming out. The chocolate sauce is so delicious and it is well paired with the Forty Licks Vanilla Ice Cream.

As for the drinks, we enjoyed their specially curated drinks.

Berry Healthy  (RM 18)

The Berry Healthy comes with the  blended blackberries, raspberries and strawberries. Superbly delicious

Asam The Bois (RM 9)

A must try is their Assam The Bois where the Kalamansi Lime juice is added with asam boi and topped with their sorbet ice cream. This is indeed very refreshing!

Lemonade (RM 9)

And the lemonade comes simply refreshing where they are completed with the squeezed lemon juice, served together with the mint and soda.

Overall, Hungry Bacon is indeed a great place for meals and their food are indeed delicious. We definitely will come back for more!
