KFC’s newest campaign to reignite Malaysians shared love for Finger Lickin’ Good KFC moment

May 17, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

More than just fried chicken, KFC will always hold a special place in our hearts – from birthdays, anniversaries, festive celebrations, and even the mundane everyday occasions, there is a KFC memory that resonates with everyone. We all grew up loving this world-renowned Finger Lickin’ Good chicken and the love never stops. This is no surprise as KFC has been in Malaysia for 49 years and with so many Malaysians growing up with the brand over the years. Whether young or old, from all communities and all walks of life, our shared love for KFC brings people together and helps create great moments.

KFC is unique as it has a rich history. For those of us who are not aware, this world-famous global brand began with a man with great passion and drive. Colonel Harland Sanders began selling fried chicken from his roadside restaurant in Kentucky during the Great Depression. It has since been more than 75 years ago that he developed this “secret recipe” using a patented hand-breaded method and cooking chicken in a pressure fryer. This secret recipe comprises 11 herbs and spices which remains a mystery until today.

That’s why KFC’s Original Recipe chicken and the ever-popular Hot & Spicy chicken are truly a signature that you can get only from KFC and nowhere else, as it is freshly prepared in-store with unrelenting quality control and hard work.

KFC is proud to be part of the social fabric of Malaysia spanning almost five decades with over 740 restaurants across the country serving Malaysians everyday. Throughout the years, KFC Malaysia has experienced many highs and lows as a brand, with the last couple of years being especially challenging following the unprecedented pandemic and its economic after-effect. Nonetheless, KFC firmly holds the same commitments: to continuously create irresistible tastes and memorable experiences for all, strictly at uncompromising values and quality to make your every visit worthwhile. Through a series of stringent food safety procedures, KFC provides customers with high quality products. Our customers deserve to have only the best quality chicken for a complete Finger Lickin’ Good experience, thus starting today KFC will be rolling out a ‘Quality Taste Guaranteed’ policy. This policy allows for customers to replace any chicken that they find unsatisfactory in quality in any way. Customers can simply scan the unique QR code provided at the store, fill in and submit the replacement form, and present the ‘thank you’ page at the counter to get a replacement.

Giving more reasons to reignite the love for KFC and relive the good old days when we gather with friends and family at KFC restaurants to enjoy hearty and delicious meals, KFC is officially serving brand new Jimat Siang for a limited time only, starting today. Jimat Siang provides even better value-for-money lunch combos, exclusively discounted from Monday until Thursday, between 12pm – 2pm from as low as RM7.99. It consists of our iconic main and side menus and comes in **6 combo variations to select from:

Jimat Siang is available from Monday until Thursday between 12pm – 2pm. Available via Dine-in, Take Away & Drive-Thru at *majority of KFC stores nationwide.

Meanwhile, creating more “non-fungible” love for KFC fans to acquire, KFC Malaysia, who always strives to be at the forefront of technology and innovation is the first food retailer to enter the blockchain market.

Inspired by Malaysians, made by Malaysians for Malaysians, KFC has collaborated with talented local artists Wilson Ng, Book of Lai, and Arif Rafhan Othman to produce 11 one-of-a-kind NFT artwork pieces in honor of KFC’s secret recipe blend of 11 herbs and spices. Fans can get their hands on 8 of these exclusive KFC NFTs – Original KFC Moments starting 1pm today at OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace. While the remaining 3 NFTs can be won by participating in a social contest on KFC’s Instagram page @kfcmalaysia.

“I believe for most Malaysians, KFC means celebrations and a good time and a place to get-together with family and friends alike. The special aroma of our great-tasting world famous fried chicken is classic and evokes feelings of joy and happiness that spans generations. This is why we’re launching the ‘It’s Finger Lickin’ Good’ campaign to reignite the love that was once enjoyed by even our parents and grandparents.

Through this campaign, we are planning to engage with customers through various initiatives that will bring added value and customer satisfaction. We are committed to continue to be relevant to all Malaysians and to bring the nostalgia back to our nation’s favourite fried chicken brand,” said Stephen Chew, Brand Head of KFC Malaysia during the launching event held at KFC Store in Pavilion Shopping Centre earlier today.

Today’s launching event also saw the unveiling of the KFC Klaw for Chicken Claw Machine housed by a giant KFC Bucket. KFC fans who patronise Piazza@Starhill Gallery will be clucking with excitement as they can play and win KFC vouchers & Drummie Plushies, from today until 9 June 2022 at scheduled dates and times. Other fun activities including a photo booth are also being held here, so do pay a visit and don’t miss out on the excitement!

Last but not least, KFC fans can also feast their eyes on vivifying visual KFC moments in 3D billboards located at KLCC Junction and Pavilion ELITE.
