Siong Tong Gai @ Tropicana Gardens Mall

November 8, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

For those who are big fans of steamed fish, is time to visit Siong Tong Gai. Siong Tong means special soup which is prepared with the seafood while the word “gai” means street. We had spotted few times this restaurant in AEON Kepong, Eko Cheras and Puchong and they are always packed with patrons.
And this time, we got a chance to dine at one of their outlets which is located at Tropicana Gardens Mall. Located at the new vibrant mall, the restaurant is easily spotted from the outside and they bring you with choices of siong tong dishes that you will definitely craving for. With the fish tank at displayed in the shop ; you are definitely assured to enjoy fresh fish and seafood.
What’s so special about Siong Tong Gai is the food is served hot in the pot with the fire below. And they have loads to choose from fish, to seafood and many more. And recently, they come up with the great promotion which is the buy 1 free 1 promotion now.
This time, we enjoyed some of their specialty which is recommended by their staff. One of their signature is their Steamed 3 Treasures. The Steamed 3 Treasures comes with squids, prawns, and clams. And you can add in the choice of their fish where you can have the  Hifin Patin, Soon Hock, Jade Perch, Silver Catfish, Black Talapia or Red Talapia. Asides you can add in their scrumptious juicy Fresh Water Prawns at RM 60 each. To add more luxury touch on to the dish, why not add some crabs too! The dish is superbly good and the broth comes with complete sweetness from the seafood and the light umph of spiciness from the sliced ginger, garlic and chilli padi.
We also had the Steamed Fresh Water Prawns which is such a luxurious dish to enjoy. The prawns come superbly fresh with the tender juicy meat in it. They are so good especially the meat itself. It is simply fresh and each mouthful is such an indulgence.
Next comes the Signature Steamed Chicken. Using the kampung chicken in their cooking. The chicken comes simply good and delicious and I love the broth which comes simply aromatic and flavorful. They are indeed perfect and delicious and we love them so much.
Asides from that, they do serves other ala-carte delights which comes simply addictive and delicious. Some of the must try is their Signature Tofu. The Signature Tofu comes amazingly good. The tofu comes simply smooth and they are topped with the scrumptious crunchy bites of dried shrimps and meat. So, good!

They also have the Popcorn Sweet and Sour Pork. The dish comes pretty good and the meat is tender. I love the sweet and sourish blend in it.
We ended with some 3 Treasure Vegetables. Nicely stir fried and delicious.
And now; they have come up with their Super Big Deal where they are giving you with Buy 1 Free 1 Promotion which is simply worth for it.
