A love note on display, marks a special memory forever

February 21, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

Who would have ever thought, a person that’s not romantic at all will turn out to be such a Romeo. Thanks to Domino’s Malaysia, a gentleman who goes by his initial NFR, took his love for his girlfriend, Intan Norwana to another level by sending a love note to be featured on Domino’s billboard. It wrote ”My Darling Intan, “Jika aku crust, kaulah topingnya. Melengkapi satu sama lain”. That’s a good cheesy one indeed!

During Valentine’s Day, Domino’s Pizza Malaysia took on an old school way of declaring love with a simple yet digital twist. With their campaign, ‘Love is All Around’, the No 1 pizza brand gave netizens an opportunity to send love notes to their dearest ones and Domino’s featured it on a giant billboard in the heart of Kuala Lumpur!

Often seen as a highly personal and romantic gesture, writing a love note has always been a timeless act of romance. Elevating that gesture up by a few big notches, Domino’s launched the website, www.dominossendslove.com which allowed individuals to send in letters or notes to loved ones. There were even options to choose from which includes 6 custom designed animated stickers that can be added onto the love notes. The notes were displayed on The Cube Billboard @ Bukit Bintang, for two days from 14th to 15th February 2020 where senders and receivers were able to see their love and affections publicly on display. This garnered attention of people from all walks of life, where Domino’s received a total of 8,007 number of submission. Out of which, 3,300 notes were shortlisted and featured on the billboard from 4pm to 9pm. Making this even more special, the Domino’s team distributed over 300 pizzas to those who were at The Cube as they viewed the love notes on display.

Taking it beyond the Kuala Lumpur billboard, Domino’s also published each and every love note on its Instagram platform as an extension of the declaration of love. “It’s that one special time of the year where we get to celebrate love so at Domino’s we made the effort to ensure all our customers have that opportunity to do something extra special for their loved ones during the Valentine’s Day for absolutely free. It is our way of sending love to all our customers on this special day. We are excited to be part of these special moments in our customer’s lives and we hope they take up this rare opportunity to feature their love on a digital billboard in the city!” said Linda Hassan, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Domino’s Pizza Malaysia and Singapore.
