MID-AUTUMN WEEK AT THIRTY8, GRAND HYATT KUALA LUMPUR

August 31, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

In the anticipation of the harvest season, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is celebrating mid-autumn festival with a delectable afternoon tea and mid-autumn inspired dishes, curated by our Executive Sous Chef Byron Zhang.
And this year, mid autumn can be celebrated with more than just mooncake. Chef Byron Zhang created the must – eat foods during the mooncake festival with as pumpkin, taro, chestnut, pomelo and even duck. And this reminds us what we ate during the mid autumn in our younger days!
For a limited time of four days, diners can enjoy this seasonal afternoon tea with an oriental twist featuring Pandan bird’s nest drink, smoked duck, mid-autumn inspired dumplings (chestnut, pumpkin, taro), deep-fried wontons and pomelo seasonal fruit platter. And these platter is simply heavenly and they are well presented and paired with the tea.
Not to be missed are THIRTY8’s afternoon staples and all-time favourite – mango tartlet, hazelnut caramel Opera, bergamot-yuzu Madeleine and strawberry sable.
Alongside with the afternoon tea tower, guests will be served with one of the Asia’s finest premium tea – JING tea (Pu-erh) for a complete afternoon tea experience. Price at MYR 128 nett per person, available from September 10 – 13,
2019 (weekdays), 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
For those who are looking to reunite for a mid-autumn meal, THIRTY8 will be serving an array of mid-autumn specialties such as braised chicken with yam and water chestnut, glutinous rice with smoked duck and sweet chestnut, signature mooncakes and many more.

This seasonal menu is only available for lunch and dinner from September 9 – 15, 2019.
Rates quoted are subject to 10% service charge and 6% Sales and Services Tax (SST) effective September 1, 2018.
For reservation, please call THIRTY8 at +603 2182 1234 or email to [email protected].
