“East Meet West” @ Ruyi & Lyn

For those who are fans of Ruyi & Lyn, it is time to visit them this round where  award-winning Chef James Ho is teaming up with Chef Toni Ruiz Valero to bring you with the unique and memorial dining experience. With the theme of “East Meet West” course dinner, you can enjoy the combination of both world. And this 8 Course Menu is priced at RM 288 per pax and you can add in extra RM 138 for wine paring.

We start our meals with beautiful Instagram friendly appetizers. Enjoy this Sea Caviar which is top on top of the bed of ice in the scallop shell. Sides with the Yuzu Essence and top with the Crispy Baby Crab by Chef James.

Next is Chef Toni’s signature. The lovely plate of salad is beautifully prepared with the Eggplant Confit, Chlorophyll Curry & Pickled Vegetables.  Love the flavours of the salad where they are well packed with flavours especially the chlorophyll curry which is made from dhall.

We are then being served with Chef Toni Red Prawn Carpaccio with the Deconstructed Sarawak Laksa. The Sarawak Laksa comes simply unique where the slices of red prawn comes sweet and it comes simply sweet. And what make it even special is where the Sarawak Laksa Gravy is perfectly encase in the prawn head.

Moving next is Chef James signature which is one of my favorite of the night. The Double Boiled Soup are perfectly done with the light flavours and yet simply delicious. The promfret are served on the bed of smooth egg making it even perfect.

Next is the Roast Pigeon which appears to be unique where it is cooked “medium – rare”  and served with the beetroot juice and coconut foam.

Chef James comes up with his Lamb Schnitzel where the lam chop is perfectly coated and then it is deep fried till golden brown.  Then is then with topped with the Mongolian Black Pepper Sauce and sides with the imported Iced Vegetable.

Another of my favorite of the night is the Pan-seared Foie Gras with Fried Canton Sakura which is prepared by Chef James. Love the fragrant blend of rice which have the crisp taste. Chef James make the meal even more luxury with the topped of Pan Seared Foie Gras on top.

And we ends our meal with the desserts which have the hint of curry leaves with it. And it is sides with the SzeChuan Pepper Strawberries and Jackfruits. Another interesting combination.
