Shinmapo @ The Gardens: A place for Barbecue Lover

July 5, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

For those who are looking for a nice place for barbecue, Shinmapo may be one of your choice too. Being one of the famed outlet for delicious Korean delights, one can have an enjoyable barbecued with some Korean delights in one place.
The No 1 BBQ Restaurant – Shinmapo Koreo BBQ have more than 500 BBQ restaurant worldwide and now they have 2 in Klang Valley where their first outlet in Courtyard and the 2nd outlet here in The Gardens.
Banjan
Enjoy limited Banjan here.
This round, we manage to try their signature Ultimate Pork Set where the offers a wide variety of their signature in one goal. The Set comes with  Marinated Signature Pork Skirt Meat, Pork Belly, Marinated Pork Collar, Mixed Grill Platter, Dried Pollock Soup, Side Dishes, Kim Chi Egg Crust at only RM 98 (for 2 pax) or RM 128 (for 4 pax). The set comes amazingly good where the pork comes fresh and juicy. Well marinated with the complete flavourful taste.  We are definitely in love with it.
And of course, you also can add one with some additional items to your barbecue such as spicy octopus ( RM 33), Half Shell Scallops (RM 43); Cheese Sausage (RM 15) and many more.
Aside from the set, they do offer a variety choices of snacks, noodles and more for you to go with the barbecue.

Kim Chi Pancake (RM 36)
Indulge yourself with the kimchi pancake where the pancake are well pan fried and bringing you with a complete flavours with the crispy edges. Addictively good as well.

Chilled Buckwheat Noodles (RM 22)
If you are looking for some noodles, go for this Chilled Buckwheat Noodles for a change. The cold base noodles is indeed refreshing and delicious especially after some barbecue. I am in love with this slurpilicious noodles.
Bbudae Jjigae (RM 15 for add-on price)
If you are a ramen lover, you must try their Special Bbudae Jjigae which is known as the Army Base Stew. It is a one pot meal that serves as a culinary vestige of the tough years following the Korean War, when locals would make it with the leftover rations from American army bases. I love how it is done where the soup is not too spicy and yet flavourful blend of taste. The noodles are indeed a good one where it give you a springy texture too. The dish is indeed a comforting meals to enjoy as well as a nice pot of delights for sharing.
Volcano Friend Rice (RM 33)
The Volcano Fried Rice is something specially dedicated for rice lover. The fried rice which is cooked with the kimchi with seaweed in it and topped with eggs. It is such a comforting meals especially after a fulfilling meal.
Overall, Shinmapo is indeed one my selection when it comes to Korean Barbecue as they have juicy porky meats as well as huge and juicy octopus that I will definitely die for.
