Hai Nan Nyonya & Hainanese Homecook Restaurant @ Bukit Jambul: Pork Free Affordable Delicious Nyonya Delights

January 8, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Bringing you the nyonya delights for this round, Hai Nan sis indeed one of the restaurant which worth a visit in Penang if you are dying for some Nyonya Food. Located in Bukit Jambul which is just a few blocks away from the famous Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar, the Nyonya Delights here will definite to tempt you till the fullest.

Curry Kapitan (S: RM 16, M:RM 22, L: RM 28)
The chicken comes simply good and it is perfectly delicious. The fragrance of the curry is there but the taste is not too spicy. It is just what I love about it.

Perut Ikan (S: RM 16, M:RM 22, L: RM 28)
Perut Ikan is a nyonya pickled fish stomach curry dish and it is one of the famous Nyonya Delights especially for the locals. In here, the perut ikan is indeed well made which comes not too sourish. The taste is pretty good and is up to my expectation

Fried Four Kings Dish with Sambal Belachan (S: RM 13, M:RM 18, L: RM 23)
The combination of four choices of vegetables which is the fried ladies fingers, four-angled bean, brinjal and petai together with the sambal belachan. It comes with the complete spiciness in it and one of my favourite too.

Otak Otak (RM 4)
It is hard to get good otak otak now. And here, you can find a decent one where the this steam fish custard are indeed well made. It is just so good that I can have plain rice to go with it just like this!
