Baba Nyonya by Sambal Chili @ Avenue K : A taste of Nyonya in the City!

December 27, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Inspired by the hertitage in Malaysia, Baba Nyonya Culture is not something new here but nowadays it is kinda hard to get a good Baba Nyonya delights in town as many did not heritage the recipes from their grand parents. And here, in Baba Nyonya by Sambal Chili, you will able to get the taste of nyonya in the cozy ambience in the mall.
Recently launched in Avenue K after their first outlet in Atria Shopping Centre, Baba Nyonya by Sambal Chilli here brings you with a different concept and more cozy and homey ambience. Just like the olden days of kampong area with the greenies.
Chef behind the scene – Chef Rimong all the way from Sarawak who is having 10 years had starts his carear in Italian Cuisine and now the had been in Baba Nyonya by Sambal Chilly. Being in Baba Nyonya for 2 years, Chef had been working alongside with the Lady behind this brand, Miss Mee Ling who is a down to earth lady and passionate about cooking and Nyonya Cuisine.
Chicken Lobak (RM 10.90)
Experience the chicken lobak where the chicken lobak meat comes simply moist and juicy in the inside. The chicken lobak is deep fried where you can get the crispy bites at the skin while in the inside will be moist and juicy. The taste is perfectly awesome.
Asam Pedas Claypot(RM 58.90)
The asam pedas claypot comes pretty huge with the good servings of fisg in it. The claypot is filled with the sourish with the light spiciness in it. Fish comes fresh and I just need a bowl of rice to go with this and it will definitely make my day.

Chicken Kapitan Curry (RM 27.90)
The chicken kapitan curry is one of my favorite. Compare to the normal curry, kapitan curry will be thicker in the curry paste and with more santan with it. The creamier base but yet very addictive and goes well with a bowl of rice.

Sambal Petai Prawn (RM 29.00)
Sambal Petai Prawn would be many of our favorites for sure. The delicious Sambal Petai Prawn is worth for it for those who love the pungent taste of the petai itself.

Ayam Goreng Rempah (RM 10.90)
Being a fried chicken lover, who would say “No” to this. The crispy delicious chicken rempah is just perfectly fried with the aromatic bites with the crispy skin with the tender-licious meat.
Four Angled Bean Belacan (RM 13.70)
Steamed till perfection, the four angled bean is being served with the spicy sambal belachan by the side. This is one of the favorites among the locals and Baba Nyonya in Malacca too.

Curry Mee (RM 12.90)
This is one of the best seller here, the curry comes with generous portion of noodles and ingridients in it. Enjoy the creamy brooth with the light spiciness in it. Love the way how it is done with the tenderlicious chicken slices on the tp with the tao-bok.

Banana Fritters (RM11.90)
Chendol (RM  3.90)
Every meals  must ends with some desserts. Enjoy till the fullest with their local Malaysia delights, Thay have loads to choose from where one can definite to enjoy till the fullest on the delicious desserts offerings here.
For those who are looking for some Nyonya delights in the city, Baba Nyonya by Sambal Chili is one of the choices to go for.
