RESTORE NATURAL SLEEP RHYTHMS WITH “SWEET DREAM” TREATMENT AT THE RITZ-CARLTON SPA, HONG KONG

June 20, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

The stressful modern lifestyle can upset the natural rhythms of our body, and is a major cause of poor sleep quality. The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Hong Kong launches a seasonal 120-minute Sweet Dream Treatment to pamper guests with much-needed rest. Composed of a hot bath, a stretching and breathing exercise, the signature Lava Shell body massage, and an eye and scalp massage, the treatment helps relieve tension in the nervous system and restore body’s natural sleep patterns.

The treatment begins with a 30-minute hot bath using ESPA Aromatherapy Bath Oil and sea salt to improve blood circulation and remove excess water in the body. Served with chamomile tea or Longan tea with red dates, the relaxing bath allows guests to unwind and get ready for the sleep-inducing journey that follows. The spa therapist will then have a consultation with the guest to identify problematic areas and establish guest preferences, before leading him or her to a simple yet calming stretching and breathing exercise.

The journey continues with an 60-minute Lava Shell Body Treatment which is designed to release deep-seated tension. This signature treatment uses heated Lava Shells to soothe tired feet prior to an indulgent full-body massage using warmed ESPA Aromatherapy Body Oil and therapeutic strokes to leave the guest feeling revitalized.

A 20-minute eye and scalp massage will follow to calm the central nervous system. The spa therapist will press the pressure points around the orbicularis oculi, one of the muscles of the eyelid, and apply special pressing and kneading massage techniques on the scalp. Relieving swelling and sense of heaviness around the scalp area, this massage is perfect for guests suffering from sleep problems and jet lag.

The 120-minute treatment is available from June 1, 2016, and is priced at HK$2,800 from Monday to Thursday. A supplement of HK$400 applies to Fridays to Sundays and Public Holidays. The above prices are subject to a 10% service charge.

Guests are encouraged to visit the Spa up to 30 minutes prior to their treatment time to make use of all the Spa facilities including the Harbor-view Relaxation Area, Aroma Steam, Stone Saunas and Experience Showers.
