MADAM KWAN @ 1 UTAMA

May 22, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Madam Kwan, one of the famous Malaysian restaurant is one of the restaurant I revisit recently. I had been there a couple of times but I did not really pen down my experiences and the food nor taking pictures. We are back again, and this round, I told my self I need to write about it.

A combination of quick-style service like all street food in Malaysia with the comfort of a business hotel cafe ambience, Madam Kwan’s has always strived to put forth this unique setting in their operating standards. Madam’s Kwan Nasi Lamak is recommended as the best nasi lemak by the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia.

Nasi Lemak (RM 16.90)
One of the must order item is of course the Nasi Lemak. Infused with a rich coconut fragrance, the steamed rice was intensely aromatic and wonderfully fluffy and delicious. And it is served alongside with two pieces of chicken which were tender with the creamy fragrant curry  with it. Just wonderfully good. Accompanied with sambal ikan bilis, dried shrimp floss, hard boiled egg, acar and fresh cucumber and the portion is decently huge too.

Chicken Satay (RM 11.90)
We ordered the satay, choose within the beef or the chicken satay, and this is something not to be missed here too. The succulent chicken meat is well marinated with flavours. Dipped them in the peanut based gravy and you will be sure to falling in love with it.

Fish Noodle Soup (RM 18.90)
And mum had a fish head noodles. She gave a double thumbs up as the noodles were good and fish were fresh. Nicely done.
