Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur Welcomes Visiting Wellness Practitioner Rashdy Ahmad

May 4, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur invites guests to experience a deeply personal approach to healing with the arrival of visiting wellness practitioner, Rashdy Ahmad, from 1 to 14 May 2026.

Rooted in heritage and guided by intuition, Rashdy Ahmad’s practice bridges traditional healing techniques with contemporary therapeutic bodywork. Born into a lineage of healers, he began his journey at the age of 14 under the guidance of his parents and grandparents, later expanding his knowledge through cross-cultural study across Malaysia, Thailand and parts of Europe. Today, he travels internationally, offering treatments that are entirely bespoke and grounded in the belief that true healing is not prescribed, but felt.

During his residency, guests will have the opportunity to experience a curated selection of treatments at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur:

Energy Healing (60 minutes) – MYR 605

Drawing upon the concept of Nur—a spiritual life force believed to exist within every individual—this session combines intuitive energy work with Rashdy’s expertise as a Reiki and Imara Reiki Master. Each treatment is designed to gently identify and release energetic blockages that may manifest as physical, emotional or mental imbalance.

Therapeutic Healing Massage (60 / 90 minutes) – MYR 605 / 905

A deeply restorative treatment that weaves together traditional Malay urut, sports massage techniques and soft tissue therapy. This intuitive bodywork addresses muscular tension, fatigue and physical discomfort, supporting functional recovery while restoring ease of movement through a highly personalised approach.

Cupping Therapy (60 / 90 minutes) – MYR 605 / 905

An ancient practice dating back over 5,000 years, cupping therapy is designed to stimulate circulation, release stagnation and draw heat from the body. Through controlled suction, this treatment helps alleviate muscle pain, stress and inflammation, while supporting overall recovery and vitality.

This limited-time residency offers a unique opportunity to engage with a practitioner whose work is both deeply rooted in tradition and intuitively attuned to the individual — an experience that is as restorative as it is transformative.
