Holiao Noodles Opens in Kepong—A Fresh Spin on Hakka Hand-Pulled Noodles

August 9, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Kepong’s bustling culinary scene has just welcomed its latest gem: Holiao Noodles – 优麵小铺 | 䦉铺. Known for bringing back the authentic taste of hand-pulled Hakka noodles, this fourth outlet (after Salak South, Cheras, Old Klang Road, and others) focuses on craftsmanship, nostalgia, and communal dining Holiao Noodles shops are more than just eateries—they’re living stories, where each bowl is stirred by tradition.

Their menu centers on classic Hakka favorites: chewy, golden noodles served dry or in soup, tossed with silky soy-based sauce, vegetables, crispy lard bits, and scallions. Choose from fish balls, pork balls, minced meat, or house-made toppings depending on your mood—and expect generous portions starting at around RM14.50 .

Holiao takes pride in its nostalgic flavours: golden lard crunch, fragrant scallions, and umami-rich soy all come together in each bowl—reminiscent of grandma’s home cooking. The noodles are firm, the textures balanced, and the taste comforting yet elevated.

Beyond the Bowl

More than just great food, Holiao Noodles fosters a communal atmosphere. The open kitchen, friendly staff, and homey décor make each visit feel familiar and warm
