Milk Tea Giant Gong cha Rolls Out Month-Long 14th Anniversary Celebrations with RM7 Fridays and Cashback Challenges

May 28, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Gong cha is turning 14 in Malaysia and is celebrating with a full month of customer-focused promotions. Gong cha has created a calendar of exciting promotions for fans to enjoy, running from 30 May through mid-July.
From its humble beginnings to serving thousands of cups daily across the country, Gong cha’s story has always been about community. “This anniversary is our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers who’ve supported us for 14 years,” said Billy Koh, Founder of Gong cha Malaysia. “We wanted to make the celebration meaningful through creating small moments of joy, whether it’s an affordable Friday treat or a fun collectible to take home”.
The month-long celebration offers something for every Gong cha lover, from weekly budget-friendly specials to Instagram-worthy collectibles that create lasting memories of this milestone anniversary.

Sip More, Spend Less Every Friday

To make Fridays even sweeter, Gong cha is offering RM7 drinks on 30 May, 6 June, 13 June, 20 June, and 27 June. Walk in and enjoy your favourite regular-sized beverage (excluding seasonal drinks and smoothies) and upsize it to large for just RM1. Perfect for your end-of-week treat!

Game On: Make 14 Lucky

Test your reflexes in Gong cha’s fun anniversary challenge! While 14 is seen as an unlucky number in some cultures, we’re flipping the script to make it your lucky number. With every drink purchased at selected outlets, fans can try their hand at stopping a timer at exactly 14.00 seconds. Nail it, and you’ll walk away with RM14 cashback. Challenge dates and locations include KLCC, Pavilion KL, TRX, 1 Utama and more – see Gong cha’s social channels for the full list.

Collect Gong cha’s Limited-Edition Plushies

Tea lovers and plushie collectors, get ready. Gong cha is launching a limited-edition plushie collection inspired by its most iconic flavours: Milk Tea, Taro and Brown Sugar. Available as a Purchase with Purchase (PWP) at RM20, each plushie drops in weekly waves from 21 June to 17 July, so mark your calendars!
Whether you’re here for the drinks, the games or the plushies, there’s something for everyone this anniversary. Follow Gong cha Malaysia on Instagram and Facebook for campaign updates, weekly drops and more surprises.
