Marriott Bonvoy Celebrates Creativity with Inaugural Mooncake Box Exhibition

September 9, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Marriott Bonvoy is reimagining tradition with the debut of its first-ever Mooncake Box Exhibition — a one-day-only showcase at the R Studio Lounge, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre.

For years, mooncake boxes have evolved from simple holders into coveted collectibles. Now, Marriott Bonvoy is transforming these seasonal treasures into an art gallery experience, celebrating packaging as objects of design, culture, and craftsmanship.

Stepping into the exhibition, guests will witness the evolution of artistry — from classic motifs to avant-garde designs — each box a statement of creativity and storytelling by Marriott Bonvoy hotels across Malaysia.

“Mooncake boxes have transcended their role as mere packaging — they are now cultural treasures and creative expressions,” said Joyce Wong, Country Director of Sales & Distribution, Malaysia – Marriott International. “This showcase offers a rare glimpse into how our hotels are redefining design and craftsmanship for 2025.”

To complete the experience, guests will be treated to an exclusive mooncake tasting, pairing the artistry of the boxes with the delicate flavours of this year’s handcrafted creations. It is not simply an exhibition — it is a celebration of heritage, flavour, and design, fused into one unforgettable moment.
