‘A Tale of Two Cities’: The Hari Hotels Unveil ‘Twin City Suite Sensation’

May 14, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

The Hari Hong Kong and The Hari London have launched a remarkable new experience anchored by elegant stays at both hotels and personalized tours of their vibrant neighborhoods, with afternoon tea for two to boot.

‘A Tale of Two Cities: Twin City Suite Sensation’ is underpinned by a minimum one-night stay at The Hari Hong Kong in the Chesham Suite and a minimum two-night stay at The Hari London’s Lockhart Suite, both imagined by renowned interior designer Tara Bernerd and adorned with eccentric artwork.

The Hari Hong Kong stands 30 stories tall on lively Lockhart Road in one of Hong Kong’s oldest yet most diverse districts, Wan Chai. With sweeping views of Victoria Harbour and the city, the Chesham Suite is perched on the hotel’s top floor. The 77sqm suite features an open plan design with separate living and seating area, super king bed with feather pillows and duvet, private terrace and private bar. Luxuries include plush velvet upholstery in jewel tones, an opulent Arabescato marble bathroom with walk-in rainforest shower and standalone soaking bathtub, and a complimentary bottle of champagne.

In the heart of London’s chic Belgravia neighbourhood on Chesham Place, The Hari London is a stone’s throw from some of the world’s most famous attractions such as Buckingham Palace and Harrods. The 51sqm Lockhart Suite offers a king bed with custom imported linens and down comforters and pillows, a separate open plan living area, cosy feature fireplace, private library, marble bathroom with enclosed walk-in shower and bathtub and two private balconies overlooking London’s famed skyline. Comforts range from Jo Loves bathroom amenities and a Nespresso machine to newspapers of choice delivered to guests’ door upon request.

To tell the tale of two of the world’s greatest cities, the package includes a private guided tour of Wan Chai and Hong Kong expertly led by licensed guide and the influential travel content creator @explore_hongkong, and a personalized guide to Belgravia and London.

The roughly two-hour ‘Best of Wan Chai at Night Tour – Explore Hong Kong like a Local’ imparts the history and stories of Wan Chai and neighbouring Causeway Bay as well as fascinating insights into Hong Kong’s Feng Shui. Tour highlights include partaking in ‘Villain Hitting’, a form of Chinese folk sorcery, and visiting a wet market, street markets and a 140-year-old tea shop. Participants cross one of Hong Kong’s busiest streets, sample different local snacks, ride the 100-year-old Ding Ding Tram and take in panoramic views of Kowloon and Hong Kong.

‘Your Belgravia Experience’, a self-guided tour prepared by The Hari London’s head concierge Ben Malpass, is akin to a treasure map of Belgravia and beyond. In addition to witnessing the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, the tour’s must-see attractions within walking distance of the hotel include London’s most popular green space – Hyde Park, as well as Kensington Palace, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and the World Heritage site Westminster Abbey. Shopping at the infamous department store, Harrods, as well as Harvey Nichols and nearby Sloane Street with its quintessentially British boutiques, dining at in-the-know Belgravia and West End restaurants, and visiting nearby galleries and museums are also recommended.

According to Dr Aron Harilela, the Chairman and CEO of Harilela Hotels Ltd., whose family has a long legacy in Hong Kong and deep connections with London, A Tale of Two Cities: Twin City Suite Sensation “is a tribute to the heritage, dynamism and charm of my favourite cities”. With impeccable hospitality and a large dose of wit and quirkiness, we warmly welcome our guests on a seamless yet unforgettable journey to both of our hotels to experience the best of both worlds.”

‘A Tale of Two Cities: Twin City Suite Sensation’ features the quintessential British pastime –  Afternoon Tea – for two at both hotels. Served daily between 3-5pm at The Terrace, an alfresco terrace bar framed with greenery, and The Lounge, adorned with books and a rota of eccentric artwork, The Hari Hong Kong’s new ‘The Hari Afternoon Tea’ with optional free-flow champagne brims with homemade treats ranging from ‘snowcrab and ikura tartelettes’ and ‘wasabi prawn’ to ‘matcha ice cream & pistachio white chocolate lollipops’ and signature tiramisu.

Meanwhile, The Hari London’s new ‘Dolci Momenti’ Afternoon Tea is served in its contemporary Italian restaurant, il Pampero, and is inspired by Italy’s timeless tradition of leisurely, sophisticated gatherings. Afternoon tea is offered daily between 12-4pm. Menu highlights include freshly baked focaccia with 24-month Parma ham, stracciatella and balsamic reduction, as well as a Tiramichoux with mascarpone cream and an espresso glaze. Dolci Momenti’s savoury and sweet treats are accompanied by a refined selection of JING Teas and champagne pairings from Moët & Chandon.
