Kempinski Hotel Cancún Introduces New Kayantá Spa Menu Inspired by Ancient Mayan Healing Traditions

August 31, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Kempinski Hotel Cancún is proud to announce the launch of a new menu at its luxurious Kayantá Spa, inspired by the rich heritage of Mayan healing practices. Drawing from the ancient Mayan phrase “ká a yaántah,” meaning “to be reborn,” the spa now offers an elevated selection of treatments designed to rejuvenate both mind and body.

The new spa menu introduces three distinctive categories: Kayantá Retreat Journeys, Spa Body Experiences and Wellness Premium Packages, each offering a unique blend of traditional Mayan therapies and modern wellness practices.

Kayantá Retreat Journeys

Immersive experiences that blend ancient Mayan healing traditions with contemporary rejuvenation techniques can be expected with the Kayantá Retreat Journeys. For example, the Mayan Journey offers guests a captivating immersion into Mayan culture, beginning with a sacred cleansing ritual once practiced by Mayan travelers. This ritual is designed to purify the spirit and prepare the body for the transformative session ahead. The journey continues with a personalized full-body massage, tailored to each guest’s needs and concludes with a healing balm infused with natural ingredients, leaving guests renewed and revitalized.

Also included in this category is the Zac-Xib Journey, a fully customized body and spiritual cleansing by spa specialists who create a custom body scrub with local medicinal herbs, followed by a warm hydrotherapy bath on the spa’s private terrace and ending with a hydrating balm or massage; as well as the Sac-Nicté Journey, a celebration of the sacred Mayan flower Sac-Nicté through a complete exfoliation that prepares the skin for a Yucatan floral bath infused with salts from the “Las Coloradas” mines and ends with a relaxing massage and moisturizing wrap.

Spa Body Experiences

Guests can experience pure bliss and transformation with Kayantá Spa’s unique body treatments, crafted to elevate the senses and revitalize the body. The Ocean Experience treatment draws inspiration from the rhythm of ocean currents and begins with an exfoliation using natural oil-to-foam enzymes, followed by an invigorating body brush and a hydrating wrap. The treatment culminates in a nourishing massage with botanical oil infused with uplifting eucalyptus and calming lavender, offering a deeply rejuvenating experience. Other options include the Earth Experience and the Detoxifying Experience.

Wellness Premium Packages

The Wellness Premium Packages are designed to provide a comprehensive wellness experience, combining multiple luxurious treatments to rejuvenate both body and mind. The Wellness Retreat package includes a private yoga class followed by the Kayantá Massage or an organic tailored facial, while the Escape Together Journey offers a special wandering of connection and rejuvenation for couples. Guests can also take pleasure in other packages such as the Water Journey and the Head to Toe Experience.

Enhanced Signature Treatments

In addition to these new offerings, Kayantá Spa has also enhanced its flagship Massage Therapy Collection and Facial Collection. These treatments combine the best of ancient techniques with modern luxury, using premium products to achieve exceptional results. The Massage Therapy Collection is designed to melt away stress and rejuvenate the body, while the Facial Collection utilizes advanced skincare technology and timeless beauty rituals to refresh and revitalize the skin.

“At Kayantá Spa, we are dedicated to providing an unparalleled spa experience that not only rejuvenates the body but also renews the spirit,” said Milica Drocic, Spa Manager at Kempinski Hotel Cancún. “Our new menu is a testament to our commitment to combine the rich heritage of Mayan healing practices with contemporary techniques, offering our guests an unforgettable journey to physical and mental wellness.”
