Hilton Kuala Lumpur Presents ‘Spring into Abundance’ This Chinese New Year 2023

Hilton Kuala Lumpur proudly presents ‘Spring into Abundance’ for 2023’s Chinese New Year season. In conjunction with eleven other participating Hilton hotels in Malaysia, this also marks the first nationwide campaign of the year.

This year’s theme pays homage to the Rabbit zodiac’s traits of agility and good luck, while ‘abundance’ is synonymous with the festive period. The masterfully-crafted dishes are flavoured with a bold dimension, aligning with Hilton’s core values of culinary craftsmanship and creative innovation.

Chynna, Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s award-winning Chinese restaurant takes the lead with an ensemble of Oriental treasures including reunion set menus, premium yee sang selections and chef’s signature à la carte dishes which are exclusive to this period. The four sets are Wealth, Prosperity, Fortune and Grand Fortune are available for dine-ins only. Choose from five yee sang options for dine-in or takeaway, or order the Chinese New Year Supreme Hotpot-Style Poon Choy, served in a traditional claypot with fine layerings of seafood, meat and vegetables.

Guests dining at Chynna will be treated to a plethora of fun activities ranging from a Lion Dance performance on 26th January, an appearance by the God of Prosperity on Chinese New Year’s eve dinner & Chinese New Year Day during lunch service, a Fortune Teller Appearance (算命) on Chinese New Year’s day one’s Lunch and Chinese Calligraphy Activity (挥春) on Chinese New Year second day’s Lunch. Diners will receive mandarin orange, fortune cookies as well as 2023 Ang Pao packets with a minimum spend of RM888 nett and above. 

Chynna’s Chinese New Year highlights include: 

YEE SANG SELECTIONS

This year, Chef Lam Hock Hin introduces Truffle and Tasmania Ocean Trout (招財進寶  松露酱三文鱼撈生) as the starts of Chynna’s signature Yee Sang. Half portion of the signature Yee Sang is priced at RM158 nett and RM308 nett for a full portion. Diners can also choose from an array of Yee Sang that has been crowd favorites such at the Smoke Salmon with Crispy Rice, Siam Spicy Sauce Yee Sang, Salted Egg Fish Skin and Soft Shell Crab Yee Sang, Abalone Yee Sang and more. Prices for a half portion starts from RM 148 nett.

CHEF’S SIGNATURES

Indulge in Chef’s Signature Spring dishes that include, Chinese New Year Supreme Hotpot-Style Poon Choy in Claypot (鮑您旺好事來金裝盤菜) featuring abalone cubes, sea cucumber, baked fish maw, golden wontons, prawns, sea moss, sun-dried oyster, dried scallops, roasted duck, premium mushrooms, kaori bako,yam and radish. The Poon Choy is priced at RM1288 nett (Minimum order of 5 persons). As the dish requires much love and precision in it preparation, diners need to make a pre-order 2 hours in advance.

Other signature dishes include Braised Bird’s Nest Soup with Smoked Duck, Mashed Pumpkin and Fish Maw, Stewed Assorted Seafood with Dried Oysters, Sea Moss and Wild Morel, Wok-Seared Prime Lamb Racks Served with Honey Glazed Chilli Mint Sauce and more.

CHYNNA LUNAR SET MENUS

Enjoy sweet reunions with your friends and family or corporate dinners with Chynna’s reunion set menus. Curated just for the season, diners can choose from four premium sets. These sets cater for a small gathering and for bigger groups as well. Each set features a traditional yee sang, Chynna’s signature dishes, nourishing soup, premium seafood, stir-fries and delicate desserts.
