ELDERFLOWER BLOSSOM AFTERNOON TEA, JOINTLY PRESENTED BY MARCO POLO HONGKONG HOTEL AND ST-GERMAIN

November 5, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

In collaboration with French liqueur brand St-Germain, Lobby Lounge at Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel will present an exquisite ‘Elderflower Blossom Afternoon Tea’, from 7 November 2019 to 6 January 2020.

Made with the delicate elderflower, St-Germain is the world’s first artisanal liqueur, each bottle using up to a thousand freshly picked elderflower blossoms. Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel’s talented pastry chef has blended the renowned liqueur with French inspiration, for the ‘Elderflower Blossom Afternoon Tea’ with 10 sweet items and four tea sandwiches.

Five items in the afternoon tea are crafted with St-Germain, including the exceptional Madeleine with Elderflower Flavour. Originated in the Lorraine region of France, the traditional shell-shaped cake is scented with elderflower liqueur for a unique taste. Elderflower Pâte de Fruit meanwhile, whisks guests to a French elderflower garden. The Green Tea Lemon Mousse with Elderflower is topped with floral decorations, winning hearts with its light, fresh flavours. Elderflower Raspberry Tart is well balanced, with a buttery, crisp pastry base. The three-layered Elderflower Panna Cotta with Grapefruit and Chocolate Mousse uses grapefruit jelly between panna cotta and chocolate mousse, for true indulgence.

Other delectable delights include Caramel Macaron with Sea Salt, Grapefruit Truffle, New York Cheesecake with Blueberry, Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse and Raisin Scone. Guest can spray St-Germain Perfume over the sweet treats, for an extra hit of elderflower. Savoury delicacies include Mozzarella, Tomato and Pesto Sandwich, Croissant with Brie Cream Cheese, Smoked Turkey in Banquette and Smoked Salmon, Salmon Roe in Toasted Brioche.

Alongside coffee and tea, guests can choose exclusive cocktails for the ultimate indulgence. Created with St-Germain elderflower liqueur and sparkling Rosé, both the St-Germain Sparkling Cocktail and Angel Touch are refreshing and tasty. For something strong, Angel Touch uses dark rum and cinnamon for a sophisticated drink.

Guests who order the afternoon tea can also enjoy a special HK$200 price for the St-Germain gift set (Original price HK$500). And guests will also bring home a complimentary Artisenses elderflower perfume#.

The ‘Elderflower Blossom Afternoon Tea’ is priced at $520 for two persons and $390 for one person. The tea set is available daily from 3pm to 5:30pm from 7 November 2019 until 6 January 2020, at the Lobby Lounge of Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel.
