Royal Plaza on Scotts Recognised by Preferred Hotels & Resorts with GIFTTS Pineapple Awards (Overall Excellence Winner) and 2018

March 29, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

Royal Plaza on Scotts Singapore (RP) bagged two awards at Preferred Hotels and Resorts Global Conference. Up against more than 750 distinctive hotels, resorts, and residences across 85 countries, the hotel won Overall Excellence Winner of GIFTTS (Great Initiatives for Today’s [Tomorrow’s] Society). It is the only property from the Southeast Asia region to be commended for taking the meaning of genuine hospitality beyond the front doors, by showcasing an outstanding commitment to philanthropy, community, sustainability, and education. Some of the projects include the hotel’s signature Formula One life-size car display charity fundraiser and an annual break fast session with migrant workers.

The second award is Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ first-ever I Prefer Members’ Choice Awards. RP was announced as one of 10 winners within the Asia, Middle East, and Africa category. Through the programme, RP recognises and rewards members with meaningful perks that guests appreciate. The benefits include free high-speed WIFI, wired Internet and mobile WIFI, priority early check-in at 11am, priority late check-out till 3pm and complimentary room upgrades. Elite I Prefer members get everything plus S$30 dining credit per stay at RP. The winners were determined by votes from I Prefer members.

“RP is honoured that we’ve received recognition for our efforts that appealed to the hearts of the community and also our guests. We are also delighted to work with a like-minded business partner, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, as our aligned values and goals strengthen what our brands stand for in today’s hospitality scene,” said, Mr Patrick Fiat, General Manager and Chief Experience Officer (CEO) of RP.
