The Shanghai EDITION Presents Valentine’s Day Offers

February 1, 2019 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Promotion Leave a Comment

The Shanghai EDITION presents a series of Valentine’s Day specials with delectable culinary surprises and rejuvenating wellness experiences, all against the beautiful backdrop of the Bund.

Shanghai Tavern

Located on the 1st floor, all-day restaurant Shanghai Tavern is a modern European bistro lead by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton and Chef de Cuisine Scott Melvin. Designed by American architect Elliot Hazzard in the 1930s, the space is defined by the magnificent coffered ceiling, a distinctive feature of period architecture. The restaurant has prepared an eight-course candlelit dinner with delicacies including Fine de Claire Oysters, Beef Tartar, Sea Bass with ‘peas a la Françoise’, Beef Tenderloin ‘Diane’, and a spectacular rose-shaped Baked Alaska, all guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on this romantic evening.

RMB 658 per person, two guests minimum required for booking

For a sweet start to the romantic season, Shanghai Tavern is also serving themed desserts during the Valentine’s Day period, including the Shanghai debut of the Edition Rocher, a classic favourite from The London EDITION.

HIYA

The 27th floor of the new skyscraper is home to HIYA, a Japanese lzakaya-inspired restaurant, helmed by Jason Atherton, London-based Michelin-starred restaurateur. Slick, sophisticated and glamourous, this intimate destination is the place to be for a romantic night. A special Valentine’s Day dinner will be served under spectacular panoramic views of Pudong from the Bund, featuring the Chef’s selection of Sashimi, Alaskan King Crab Temaco, Roasted Mushroom Miso Soup with black truffle and grilled sudachi lime and Sanchoku Australian Wagyu Short Rib M7. The romance continues with the dessert “Black Cherry Forest”, decorated with cherries and cherry blossoms, and served with Coeur de Guanaja ice cream, artistically added wavy ornaments and warm colours.

Valentine’s dinner is priced at RMB 928 per person; selected 100ml Sake or 4 glasses of wine for pairing at an additional RMB 520 per person.

Adding a sweet touch to the festive season, HIYA presents a romance-inspired selection of desserts such as the Fuji Mount Blanc; Misco Purin, a new rendition of a traditional Japanese pudding served with miso ice cream; and creamy Okinawa purple potato cheesecake, a creamy treat inspired by Japanese ‘Wagashi’.

The Spa at The Shanghai EIDTION

The Spa at The Shanghai EDITION offers a seasonal special Refreshing Spa Treatment, available until 31 March 2019. The treatment includes a 90-minute Relaxing Body Scrub and Rubis Massage with soothing massage oils rich in avocado for the most relaxing experience spent with your loved one. The course is followed by a GEMOLOGY Red Jasper Facial (60mins) and complimentary upgrade to Diamond Eye Lifting Treatment for a head-to-toe pampering, leaving the skin feeling elastic, hydrated and silky-smooth. Lastly, elevate this pampering experience with a glass of Perrier-Jouet Champagne during and after your session.

The 150-minute Refreshing Spa Treatment is priced at RMB 2,880 per person; book for two to enjoy RMB 200 off.

The Spa at The Shanghai EDITION is offering three festive season hampers: Rejuvenate Hamper, Crystal Shine and Ultimate EDITION. Each gift hamper includes a skin care product set and a chic facial treatment coupon (choose from Deep Hydrating Facial, Brightening O2 Facial and 120-min Diamond Youth & Collagen Care).

Priced at RMB 2,700 to RMB 5,200.
