As the sun sets over Penang this Valentine’s Day, the restaurants at Golden Sands Resort, Penang and Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang will transform into a romantic and relaxed ambience.

Executive Chef Lim Soon Leong has been working tirelessly to ensure his kitchen brigade across the Shangri-La resorts located on this tropical paradise are ready to take guests on a romantic culinary experience, which is sure to create the evening with impeccable delights for couples. Feringgi Grill at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang will offer “A Romance to Remember”. This charming set dinner from the award-winning restaurant will feature seven courses, beginning with the amuse-bouche of the day, followed by Norwegian Salmon Carpaccio and Hokkaido Scallops. Guests can choose from three refined main courses: Wagyu Beef Tenderloin with Wild Mushrooms in Red Wine Sauce and Mixed Vegetables; Pistachio-Crusted Lamb Loin with Garlic Mash and Olive Sauce; or Baked Black Cod Fish with King Prawns, Asparagus and Lemon–Butter Sauce.

For dessert, “A Symphony of Love” along with Butter Milk Chocolate Panna Cotta and Raspberry Crumb, Meringue and Burned Chocolate will be served. The set menu at Feringgi Grill is priced at RM1,288 nett per couple which includes a bottle of Champagne and a stalk of rose.

For couples looking to spend their Valentine’s Day in the semi-outdoors, Pinang Restaurant & Bar is the ultimate dining venue by the beach. The romantic dinner features a “Grilling of Romance”. Priced at RM688 nett per couple dining inside the restaurant and RM888 nett per couple dining on the beach, this set dinner comes with welcome mocktails and a stalk of rose for the lady.

Couples may wish to dine at the Pop-Up Romantic Dinner for the finest romantic experience, priced at RM1,314 nett, which comes with an exclusive bottle of Champagne and a stalk of rose. This succulent dinner menu includes Seared Scallops with Truffle and a choice of three main courses.

Guests are invited to choose from Grain-Fed Beef Tenderloin, Snapper with Tomato Salsa or Lamb Chop for their main course. For dessert, couples can enjoy Strawberry Shortcake with Balsamic Ice Cream. Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa’s signature restaurant, Spice Market Café, will serve “A Great
SPICE Romance” buffet dinner. With free-flowing spiced drinks, this package is priced at RM238 nett per adult and RM119 nett per child below 12 years old, whilst children below 6 years old dine for free. Guests can indulge in a selection of over 80 items ranging from seafood on ice, sushi and sashimi to hot Asian dishes and a selection of ice cream flavours.

Inspired by the aqua-blue swimming pools that adorn the backyard of Golden Sands Resort, Penang, the resort’s culinary team are happy to provide the finest dishes to be served with this romantic backdrop. The four-course candlelight dinner at Sigi’s Bar & Grill on the beach is specially designed for couples seeking a memorable evening under the stars.

The “Two is Better Than One” set dinner begins with Asparagus Soup with Poached Quail Eggs, followed by a choice of Beef Medallion or Baked Cod Fish as the main course. This set dinner will end with a Lover’s Surprise and Sealed with a Kiss. The four-course menu is priced at RM428 nett and comes with two complimentary glasses of house wine and a stalk of rose for the lady. Couples who choose this package will be seated inside Sigi’s Bar & Grill on the beach. To further experience this romantic night, guests may choose to dine at the beachfront.

Priced at RM888 nett, this package features a five-course menu with a bottle of Champagne, a box of pralines and a bouquet of roses. For the couple seeking the most romantic and intimate dinner, Sigi’s Bar & Grill by the Beach invites one couple to dine on the upper deck of the restaurant. This magical experience is sure to leave guests feeling as if they were in their own private oasis. Priced at RM1,288 nett, the lucky couple will receive a bottle of Champagne, a box of pralines and a bouquet of roses along with their five-course set dinner.

Golden Sands Resort, Penang’s Garden Café will serve a Valentine’s Day Romantic Buffet Dinner. Priced at RM138 nett per adult and RM69 nett per child below 12 years old and free for children below 6 years old, this package includes a complimentary glass of mocktail and a stalk of rose. Guests are welcome to spoil themselves with the wide selection of dishes, including salads, Poached Fresh Tiger Prawns and Penang Assam Laksa.

CHI, The Spa, Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa’s signature spa, featuring Cupid’s Touch, a tantalising sensory experience that gently stimulates and induces clarity of mind. This romantic 2-hour-45-minute journey begins with a 60-minute Cupid’s Twilight Massage, followed by a 30-minute Aromatic Mococa Scrub, 30-minute Anti-Aging Wrap, 30-minute Express Refresher Facial and 15 minutes of bliss soaking in a romantic Milk Bath. It is sure to make couples swoon this Valentine’s Day and beyond. Cupid’s Touch is priced at RM1,314 nett per couple and RM750 nett per person, which includes a complimentary set of exclusive Pevonia skincare amenities per person. The Spa Boutique stocks a range of spa products, such as essential oils, aromatherapy burners, bathrobes, shawls with beaded ethnic motifs and other related products that make perfect gifts for guests and their loved ones.
