Passione Ristorante Italiano @Sri Petaling

July 25, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Passione Ristorante Italiano which is a brainchild of the well travelled Italian Chef unfolds to contemporary new verve of casual Italian Dining within the cosy suburban neighbourhood in Sri Petaling. And in here, one can actually get a taste of the truly Italian delights all in one place.

The idea behind Passione is to introduce Malaysia diners a taste of the artisan Italian cooking in the good – old fashioned way. With Chef Stefano, who are from Abruzzo Italy, he draws the inspiration from familiar sights, scents and flavours he experienced in growing up. Each of the elements had been put into the restaurant where one can witness each element in lovingly recreated to craft brick by brick, bite by bite, to craft an immersive space of the complete Italian gastronomic culture.

And in here, Passiones brings you with the three central offerings such as pizza, pasta and produce. Each of the items are born with love out of Chef Stefano’s extensive International experience, passion for good food and keen understanding of the local tastebuds. And whats make it special is their menu offers you with the wide selection of the pork based dishes, promising food lovers with the unique experience of the authentic Italina Cuisine which is not commonly available on Malaysian Shores.

And of course, we started with their fresh and handmade pasta by Chef Stefano. In here, you can always find fresh, handmade and never- prepacked pasta. And you can enjoy all the fresh pasta from their kitchen made daily.

Wild Boar Tagliatelle (RM 35)
We started with their Wild Boar Tagliatelle (RM 35) where the Homemade tagliatelle pasta is perfectly done till al-dente with the marinated and braised wild boar in tomato base sauce. It is delicious done and every mouthful is perfect!

Fusilli Ragu Bianco Tartufati (RM 35)
For fans of pasta, another must try is their homemade fusilli pasta with the mixed ragu of chicken and pork stew, served in white wine sauce with the creamy truffle paste. The taste is perfect amazingly good and delicious.

For those who love to grab some pizzas, they have them too. And one of Passione’s most eye -catching hallmarks will be its impressive wood- fired oven where the classic pizza is re-imagined under Chef Stefano’s watchful eye.

A first-of -its kind specialty in the neighborhood, Passione’s wood fired pizzas using back the age- old Italian method of making pizzas by hand and then baking them under the high heat in brick ovens which is up to 400 degrees to allows for a better heat distribution and caramelisation of the ingredients which infuses a natural smoky aroma. And in here one can order their Pizza Magherita (RM 26) where they are packed with the tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil.

If you love some salumi on your pizza, order their Pizza 3 Salumi which is packed with the honey ham, spicy salame, salsiccia and onion. Topped with the tomato sauce and fragrant mozzarella cheese.

Some of their other selection of pizza includes the Pizza Buffala & Crudo (RM 45) , Pizza Passione (RM 35) and Pizza Porchetta. Enjoy their delicious pizza which is filled with flavors in it and every mouthful is divinely delicious .

Rolle Di Pollo Alla Paprika Con Bouquet Di Verdure (RM 32)
Asides, they do serve great main courses too. Grab their Rolle Di Pollo Alla Paprika Con Bouquet Di Verdure (RM 32) . I love how they are done where the rolled chicken breast dumpling in red paprika stuffed with the honey ham, red capsicum and smoke cheese, serve with the ratatouille vegetables. Nicely done and the taste is just awesome!

For pork lover, never miss out their Rosticana Di Maile Brasato Al Vino Rosso (RM 52) . The pork ribs are perfectly braised with the red wine sauce till perfection and it is sides with the mixed capsicums and roasted potatoes. Each mouthful comes divinely good bringing you with the melts in the mouth sensation.

And of course, never go home without trying their satisfying drink. One can relax and chilled with the snacks and drinks at the ground floor of the outlet. Styled after a traditional Italian trattoria, it is indeed an ideal space for one to enjoy a cup or two of their drinks.

Some of their signature includes the La Signora Rosa  (RM 35) which is the combination of the Don Julio Reposado Tequila shaken with lemon juice and egg white and layered with the cold infused hibiscus rose. They also have the Maestro Viola (RM 37) which is a blend of grape juices together with Absolut Vodka, Beefeather Gin and torched Rosemary.  Don’t miss out their Peated Old Fashioned (RM 45) which comes pretty unique where they are the combination of the old fashioned with Laphroaig Islay whisky.

Don’t miss out their special four course meal – The Ambassador Course Meal

Enjoy the four course meal where we had the AntiPasto All Italiana  which is packed with the thin slices of cold cuts together with some Italian pickles.

Moving next is the Spaghetti Chitarra Al Porcini which comes with the flavoursome spaghetti chitarra which is packed with flavours and served with the fresh  porcini mushroom that is perfectly sautéed in brown sauce.

And another is the Guancia Iberica AL Montepulciano Con Verdune Al Vapore. This is just sinfully addictive where the Iberico Meat is perfectly braised in the red wine sauce bringing you the fragrant taste of it. Served together with the steam vegetables by the side.

And of course ends your meal with the satisfying , melts in the mouth desserts which is the Tiramisu. For fans of  tiramisu, this is a MUST have and every mouthful is divinely good.

For fans of Italian delights, it is time to visit Passione Ristorante Italiano for a divine and delicious food.
