The Lounge & Bar welcomes the summer season with a refreshing “Out of Africa” Organic Salad Bar. The launch of this new theme for the ever-popular Organic Salad Bar is just in time for guests who want to pursue their summer fitness goals with exotic flavors of the wild and sustainable organic coffee of limited production.
At a lavishly designed lounge adorned with stunning crystal chandeliers on a high ceiling, guests will enjoy an unlimited supply of a sundry spread of organic greens alongside a range of nutritious toppings and condiments, daily soup, homemade breads, hot dishes and desserts. From August 14 to October 15, the Organic Salad Bar is topped up with a selection of African infused salads and condiments served on rotation. Spicy Ethiopian Red Lentils is a typical African stew simmered with chopped onions and spices to whet the appetite. Chickpea and Sweet Potato Wat is an equally tempting option for milder palates. Beetroot Salad with Red Onion is flavored with refreshing tastes of red onion, ginger, lemon juice and spices, promising to revive a jaded palate. Other highlights include Spicy Potato Stew with Kidney Beans, Onion, Garlic and Coriander; Cracked Wheat Salad with Coriander, Lemon Juice and Tomatoes; Tomato and Cottage Cheese Salad with Dry Rosemary and Thyme; Broad Bean Salad and more. From September onwards, teff, the African super food, will be available to enrich the meal as a rich source of calcium, vitamin C, protein and iron. The Organic Salad Bar comes with a complimentary cup of premium Rooibos tea enhanced with the freshness of calendula petals and lemongrass. For an additional HK$15 only, guests may also opt for the finest single-origin coffee from Ethiopia – Uganda Seibei Bugisu Grade AA from August 14 to September 14 and Cameroon “Ngoso” Kumbo Grade A from September 15 to October 15.
Apart from the African specialties, more than 10 different organic vegetables and greens, including butterhead lettuce, baby spinach, Italian lettuce, Romaine and watercress, will be offered, in addition to more than 30 types of diverse condiments and toppings available for guests’ enjoyment. For those with a different dietary preference, a variety of flavorful cold meats, including grilled chicken breast, grilled prawns, grilled salmon, ham and more, are also available to accompany the salad. Complementing the salad ingredients is an extensive selection of dressings ranging from the well-liked avocado yogurt dressing to balsamic vinegar and olive oil of different origins for the more health-conscious crowd.
