Lenovo demonstrates Yoga Book’s power for creatives through a Hands-on Workshop co-hosted with KL SketchNation

August 30, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY), the world’s leading PC manufacturer, hosted a Lenovo Yoga Book Hands-on Workshop with KL SketchNation last Saturday, 26 August. KL SketchNation, founded by Ahmad Hakym Ahmad Hilmy, is an urban artist community that inspires people through the art of sketching.

During the workshop, the attendees experienced the full sketching capabilities that the Lenovo Yoga Book can offer. In particular, they were eager very impressed with the Real Pen, a dual-use stylus that can write on both paper and the tablet, which offers the precision and control one would expect from a traditional pen on paper. Adrian Lesmono, Tablet and Smart Devices Lead, Lenovo Central Asia Pacific, talked about how Yoga Book, being the ultimate on-the-go creativity tablet, enables users to write, draw and unleash their imagination with cutting-edge features, while Ahmad Hakym Ahmad Hilmy, an avid user of Yoga Book, shared the benefits of the device and how it helps him unleash his creative potential.

The experiential session saw the art enthusiasts flaunt their talent with the Yoga Book by sketching the interior of the café as well as its surrounding; though some artists preferred to take a different route and create caricatures of their fellow friends instead. The attendees were impressed with the seamless digitization offered by Yoga Book, which enables them to keep their ideas and inspirations in the most original and natural way.

“Lenovo is pleased to have hosted the Yoga Book hands-on workshop with KL SketchNation. It is exciting to see the various artists in the group bringing their art to life with the Yoga Book,” said Khoo Hung Chuan, General Manager of Lenovo Malaysia and Singapore. “Lenovo has always been supportive to the local community through our customer-centric products. We intend to continue bringing our customers state of the art technology and innovation.”

Lenovo Yoga Book
The Yoga Book is a thin and light tablet, with 15-hour battery life, a 360-degree watchband hinge, and never-before-seen features such as an instant Halo Keyboard and the Real Pen, a dual-use stylus that can write on both paper and the tablet. The availability of Wi-Fi (for Windows) or LTE (for Android versions) will ensure connectivity at all times, whether for work or play.

The Halo Keyboard appears and disappears, allowing the user to switch from typing to sketching with ease with the touch of a button. The Yoga Book’s Real Pen accessory, which comes bundled with the product, allows users to write and draw with pen and paper while instantly digitising their notes and sketches.

The Lenovo Yoga Book in Windows or Android, which is bundled with the Yoga Book sleeve, Real Pen and Book Pad, is currently available at all Lenovo Exclusive Stores.

The original Yoga Book will be priced from RM 2,699, inclusive of GST for either the Windows or Android version, and in Gun Metal Grey and Carbon Black.

The refreshed Yoga Book will be available for either Windows or Android version, in Ruby Red and Pearl White. Local price inclusive of GST is TBA.
