Vietjet Celebrates 5th Anniversary with Year-End Street Fiesta in KL

December 17, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Leading up to the New Year festivities, something exciting is brewing behind the doors of Vietjet, Vietnam’s and the region’s most exciting and fastest growing carrier. To celebrate its fifth Anniversary, the airline will lavish a host of excitement, goodies, discounts and even freebies specifically for Malaysians over the next few weeks.

The biggest of these will be in the form of a massive street party which will take place on 30 and 31 December at Tapak Street Dining, Malaysia’s hottest street food and food truck haven on Jalan Ampang, located just steps away from KLCC. From 7pm to 11pm on both these days, Vietjet will present a food-haven-street-party unlike anything seen before in Malaysia with great food, some of the hottest entertainment the city has seen in recent times, as well as a fun way to score some freebies and discounts in an online aircraft hunting game.

Hosted by local celebrity Caely See, the two-day event will mesmerise visitors with hot acts which have wowed local and global audiences in the past. These include Inversion, the street dance crew known for their distinctive style and choreographies; Ruffnecks, the K-pop dance sensation with their through-the-roof energetic ensemble and Dusty Tune productions with their stellar line-up of live band gigs ranging from soulful R&B tunes, standard jazz numbers, as well as a good deal of hi-energy pop covers.

Besides the fun and merriment on both days, what is perhaps most exciting is that visitors could very well also find themselves taking to the skies soon enough with Vietjet to exciting destinations. This is all thanks to Vietjet’s Golden Aircraft Hunting Game, which visitors will be able to participate in during the event. All they have to do to participate is log in to Vietjet’s mobile microsite to get their confirmation of attendance, and then play the Golden Aircraft game which could see some players winning promotional codes, redeemable for flight discounts of 30%, 50% and even 100% on Vietjet – truly a golden opportunity indeed.

“Malaysia has been an important market for Vietjet over our five years of existence. Indeed, we have seen growing demand from this market, with a year-on-year growth trend, which also prompted the introduction of the Kuala Lumpur route recently direct from Ho Chi Minh. This, I am sure, is just the beginning of bluer skies ahead for this market and region, which is currently experiencing immense growth,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, Vietjet Vice President.

“For this reason, we have embarked on this promotional extravaganza, as our way of saying thank you and giving back to Malaysians for their unwavering support which has contributed to Vietjet’s success over just a short period of time. Of course, keeping in line with our fun and vibrant corporate culture, this wouldn’t really be a Vietjet event without all the fanfare and merriment, so we urge as many people as possible to come and experience the festivities as well as receive some goodies and discounts, on us, of course,” she added.

To add to the fun and happiness, guests flying on Vietjet between 28 December 2016 and 28 February 2017 will stand a chance to win free Vietjet airline tickets on lucky draws which will be held on random flights. Furthermore, travellers who book their tickets between 12pm and 2pm (Vietnam time) daily during this two-month period using Visa, MasterCard, JCB,AMEX, KCP, JCB or Smartlink will be entered into a draw to win a weekly prize of a small golden aircraft. One lucky winner from this pool will also stand to win the final grand prize of a 1-kilogramme golden aircraft!
So don’t forget to attend Vietjet’s street festivities in Tapak Street Dining and log on to www.vietjetair.com today for more information and discover the fun and excitement behind Vietjet!
