SOLO MALL @ SAI WAN HONG KONG

December 29, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Hong Kong, Travel Leave a Comment

For those who love to shop something different from the big brands or those crowded street shopping in Mong Kok, you can consider shopping in SOLO Mall. SOLO Mall is actually mini stores where you can shop for special products which is being sell by the locals. Recently, we have visited one if the SOLO Mall located in Sai Wan and there are loads of nice things to look for.
The concept of SOLO Mall is rent out small shops. The idea is for young entrepreneurs to have their own shop without burning a hole in the wallet. There are 6 SOLO Malls in HK – in Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay, Sai Wan, North Point and Aberdeen.
1)  他的玩具所(Shop: G007 )

The little shop which bring you with loads of little limited version of collectibles. You can find the collectables from Captain Tsubasa, Ultraman and many more too in their shop. Aside from that, the owners can also help to order and search the limited version figures in Japan too.
2) BAEM Concept (Shop No.: G009 )

I am actually amazed with this BAEM brand. They are selling fashionable caps and hat which is imported from Korea which is priced around HKD 250. With the myriad colors and fashionable caps, you will definitely love them and now they are available in Zalora Hong Kong and Macau. They have only one shop in Hong Kong now but it is definitely a worthwhile purchase if you are big fans of caps.
You can checkout their facebook :  https://www.facebook.com/baem.kr/

3) Daily Bread (Shop No.: G7-38)
It is indeed a hidden jewel for pasteries pastries  here where the owner actually sells her handmade bread and cake with Gluten-free flour . Not just that, they do serve excellent Cheesecake, lemon tart, dessert from France, US  and others.
You will be assured of the quality pastries here and what should you TRY here is of course the Lemon Tart and Cheese Cake.
4) Vintage Store (Shop No. 87)
For those who are a big collectors HK Style Vintage Collections such as cigarette can, old style soda bottles, London bus and more, you can find all the lovely vintage thingy here. They have a huge collection of those collectables where collectables should be falling in love.
Some of them includes the London Bus, traditional fans, old style film posters, Coca Cola bottles and more. One of their most valuable items in the shop which captured our attention is the London Fire Brigade Model (Dennis F106 Pump Escape), worth around HK$6,000+
SOLO Mall shops are different from one to another outlet. Make sure you know what you plan to get first or call the outlets first before you visit the mall. Most owners have day jobs so they might not be around the shop during day time or on certain days.
SOLO Mall at Sai Wan Address:
129 Connaught Road West, Sai Wan
Eastern Street Sai Wan HK
(3 mins walk from Sau Ying Pun MTR Station)
