HARBOUR RESTAURANT AT THE HARBOURVIEW “BIRD’S NEST DELICACIES” AFTERNOON TEA BUFFET FEATURES AN ARRAY OF SEASONAL NUTRITIOUS DELIGHTS

October 19, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

Feast on a mouthwatering blend of nutritious delights made with Bird’s Nest this autumn. On 1st October 2015, Harbour Restaurant at The Harbourview will launch its “Bird’s Nest Delicacies” Afternoon Tea Buffet that is highlighted by the precious seasonal ingredient, Bird’s Nest from Indonesia.

Bird’s Nest is well-known for its richness in protein, and has long been one of the popular ingredients for making traditional Chinese sweet soups. Our Executive Chef and Pastry Chef have creatively designed the tea buffet menu with this precious and nutritious ingredient which is the ladies’ favourite. Some highlights of the menu include Steamed Egg White with Bird’s Nest, Bird’s Nest with Aloe in Glass, Bird’s Nest, Papaya and Snow Fungus Sweet Soup, and:

Hot Dish
1. Bird’s Nest, Chicken and Bamboo Piths Congee

What makes this creamy traditional Chinese congee stand out is that it is made with a mix of Japanese rice, Thai rice and soymilk. With the essential ingredients of minced chicken and refreshing bamboo piths, the congee becomes an exquisite dainty when it is additionally filled with Bird’s Nest.

Desserts
2. Blueberry Cheese Cake with Bird’s Nest

Who would have known how a sweet-sour New York cheesecake would taste when it is garnished with Bird’s Nest? Topped with chocolate and blueberry, the bright yellow cake is drizzled with crystal-like Bird’s Nest that you can hardly resist.

3. Mango Custard Tart with Bird’s Nest

This delectable dessert is a feast not only for your palate but also for your eyes. On top of the crunchy tart is a mango rosette embracing glossy Bird’s Nest adorned with goldleaf. Elegantly presented, the dessert is filled with milky custard that enriches both its texture and flavour.

In addition to the above key recommendations, various fresh salads, sushi, hot dishes and selected items of dessert such as Chocolate Fountains, Waffles, Classical Cotton Candy, Red Bean Bread Pudding and the consistently popular MOVENPICK Ice-cream are still available.

“Bird’s Nest Delicacies” Afternoon Tea Buffet is available from 3:30pm to 5:30pm on every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday from 1st October to 29th November 2015; the buffet is HK$168 per person only (the same price for adults, seniors and children and subject to a 10% service charge).
