FEAST ON “BAZAAR DESA” BUFFET SPREAD IN NOVOTEL KL CITY CENTRE!

June 9, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

The Square restaurant at Novotel KL City Centre is back with our exquisite buffet spread this year called ‘’Bazaar Desa’’ from 20 June to 15 July. Crafted by our Executive Chef Huzaidy and team there will be three different menu on rotation with over 100 traditional Malay dishes.

‘’Bazaar Desa’’ is selected as this year’s theme simply to encapsulate the local street food culture often found during the Holy Month all around the country. Fondly known as ‘’param’’ short for pasar Ramadhan which means food bazaar is a popular choice to break the fast among Muslims and is akin to a big food festival.

Special highlights would be Banana with Cheese, Mee Rebus Tulang, Kacang Pool & condiments, our signature Oven Roasted Lamb, and Khatirah Juice. The live cooking corner consists of Chicken & Beef Satay, Roti Canai, Murtabak, Idly, Ediyappam, three types of Assorted Grills (Squid, Fish, Prawn). Dessert corner will be offering two types of two types of Sweet Porridge, Assorted Local Cakes, Assorted Cookies, Ice Cendol, Lai Chee Kang, selection of puddings, Selection of ice-cream with condiments and assorted dates. To add a truly local touch, a variety of chinese cuisines are also incorporated into the food bazaar styled buffet such as Steamed Butter Fish in Sze Chuan Mala sauce, Cashew Nut Chicken, Prawn with Dark Soy, Wok Fried Carrot Cake with Dry Shrimp Paste, Choy Sum with Mixed Mushrooms and Stir Fried Squid with onion and Turmeric. This combination of popular dishes across all local cuisines really highlights the spirit of 1Malaysia which can satisfy almost every palatte !

“Bazaar Desa ” dinner buffet is priced at RM95 nett per adult, RM45 nett for children aged 8-12 years old. Early bird voucher is available for sale from now until 19 June 2015 at only RM80 nett per adult and RM40 nett. Accor Plus members enjoy further 10% discount.
