HARBOUR RESTAURANT PRESENTS “ABALONE AND BIRD’S NEST” DINNER BUFFET

January 8, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

To welcome a brand new year, Harbour Restaurant of The Harbourview will serve “Abalone and Bird’s Nest” Dinner Buffet featuring a divine array of luxurious abalone and bird’s nest specialties starting from 16 January 2015.

Under the spotlight is the delicate and exquisite Braised Whole Abalone in Oyster Sauce, for which our Executive Chef has put a great deal of time and effort to prepare. The abalone has fully absorbed the essence of the tangy sauce, this abalone dish is sure to impress you with its richness and tenderness, each patron will be offered one complimentary serving. An innovative appetizer in the buffet is Abalone and Seaweed Salad with Sesame Sauce. With a slight crunchiness and chewiness of the abalone and seaweed salad that appeal to most, gourmets will definitely be pleased by its refreshing taste. Having a bowl of cooked-to-order Abalone and Bird’s Nest Congee must be the best enjoyment in the thrilling weather, this sizzling and dazzling congee will satisfy your appetite for sure. Two classical Chinese dishes, Steamed Fried Rice with Abalone Wrapped with Lotus Leaf and Braised Sea Whelk and Vegetables with Abalone Sauce are our next recommendations. The former’s fried rice has absorbed the strong fragrance of lotus leaf, while the latter’s oceanic sweetness of the sea whelk is fully brought out by the abalone sauce. Furthermore, a mouthwatering western delight, Mini Abalone and Diced Chicken Vol-au-vent is available. The hint of white wine in both the sauce and the luscious ingredients will sneak up on your taste buds after you had a bite on the vol-au-vent.

To further amaze our gourmets, a wide selection of international cuisines are available in the buffet. 7 kinds of seafood including New Zealand Oysters, French Edible Crabs, Canadian Snow Crab Legs and French Golden Sea Whelks are regularly severed in Assorted Seafood Platter, while Razor Clams and Mantis Shrimps are specially added to the platter on alternative basis. Another highlight is Sashimi and Sushi Counter, various sashimi selections including Scallop, Sweet Shrimp, Surf Clam, Herring and Salmon, are sliced on-the-spot and served on rotation basis for Japanese food aficionados. Besides, various aromatic specialties such as Grilled Taiwanese Sausage, Grilled Minute Steak and Grilled Lamb Chop, are prepared a-la-minute by our chefs at the Grill Counter. Other food counters like Cheese Counter and Salad Bar are also available, promising to offer you the deepest satisfaction.

Sumptuous desserts always round off the meal perfectly. To match with the buffet theme “Bird’s Nest”, our Pastry Chef has exquisitely prepared four bird’s nest desserts. Beautifully decorated, the tempting desserts are Bird’s Nest Egg Tart, Crème Brûlée with Bird’s Nest, Mango Sago and Pomelo Pudding with Bird’s Nest and Black Rice and Pumpkin Pudding with Bird’s Nest. Another acclaimed sweet offering in the buffet is MOVENPICK Ice Cream from Switzerland, 8 tasty flavours are ready at the refrigerator for you to grab. Other hot-picks such as Green Tea Mousse Cake, Waffle, Mini Mango Mousse Tart and Chocolate Fountain are also delicately prepared to satisfy your sweet tooth.

“Abalone and Bird’s Nest” Dinner Buffet is available from 16 January until 31 March 2015 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm daily. Kick off your prosperous year of 2015 with a lavish buffet!
