SEAFOOD DINING ON FRIDAYS AT FISHERMAN’S COVE, NIGHT MARKET STYLE

November 17, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

fisherman's cove

Seafood lover rejoice! I am a seafood lover indeed and this time, dine in Fisherman’s Cove with their own Fisherman’s cove. Sit beside the sails of a boathouse in a rustic setting and get a feel of a fisherman’s lifestyle as you savour the delightful gems from the seas, specially prepared by the crew in the open-concept kitchen.

Upon arrival, we are greeted with the beach inspired dirnks which is specially created beach – inspired welcome drink which is specially created by the beverage manager. Once then, we will led to the beautiful fresh seafood which is placed on the bed of ice where we can choose the seafood we love to dine and leave the cooking to the experts. Unlike other dining experiences, guests can establish the quantity of seafood they would like to consume for the night. Pricing for each dish will be based on the quantity of food selected. A staff will be on hand to weigh the seafood immediately, allowing the guests to make quantity adjustments as seen necessary.

Besides from the chilled glass display, you can get your seafood from the fish tanks itself which is truly emphasized on the freshness of the ingridients which is what Fisherman’s Cove is signature for. In here, you will enjoy the “talking menu” concepts where the host will make some recommendation on how the dish should be cook and the methods which include standard grill, steamed, oven baked, and pan fried. Not just that, traditional cooking method is also available to be enjoyed like ikan bakar with daun pisang.

Tonight, we had our great feast of the night with the scrumptious ingridients like the deep fried calamari. The calamari is bread crumbs and deep fried till perfection. Chewy sensation with the freshness of the squids accompanying it had made the dish sinfully addictive. Served together with it is the sweet turnip with the mint salad which compliments well with the dish.
fisherman's cove
Next comes a more which is the Pacific Rock Oyster. The freshly prepared oyster from the tank, with no added cooking method, just raw comes sinfully delicious and fresh.

The steamed prawns topped with the mango salsa is another great combination. The mango salsa comes appetizing and it is complements with the fresh prawns which is sweet and delicious. I love the combination where it gives us a twist of zestiness in it.

Crispy Threadfin Fillet with Coriander Chilli Lime Sauce is well done with the cripsy sensation of the fish but the texture comes slightly softer. It is cooeked together with the coriander chilli lime sauce with the added of cherry tomato in it which give a kick of sourish blend.
fisherman's cove
The steamed XL Crab comes awesomely good. Steamed with Japanese Soy sauce, the freshness of the crabs can be tasted here. The crab comes super fresh!
fisherman's cove
Classic Moule’s Marnier Normandy comes awesomely good with the rich flavours and the taste is sinfully good with the light sweet hint in it.
fisherman's cove
Sweet and Sour Fish is well done too. The fish is being coated with flour and egg then is deep freid till perfection. It is then being drenched with the sweet and soury sauce on top.The sauce is simply awesome and I wish to get a bowl of rice to accompany with it.
fisherman's cove
Spicy Nyonya Steamed Sea Garoupa Fillet well presented on top of a bed of mixed vegetable. Drenched with loads of Nyonya sauce in it, the sweetness of the sea grouper can still be tasted and it is enhanced better with the spicy and sourish Nyonya Sauce in it.
fisherman's cove
For those who prefer some kick of spiciness, try their Kam Heong Tiger Prawn. The fresh tiger prawns is being stir fried with the dried shrimps, curry leaves, garlic, chilli and spring onions. The spicy hint of delicaicies with the flavourul taste is just so good which I give a double thumbs up.
fisherman's cove
Mix Seafood in Fresh Momotaro Tomato Sauce, comes with the sweet and wholesome flavours of the clams. The clams comes sweet and each mouthful is such a divine. topped with the cooked cherry tomato and some prawns with it, the taste comes robustly good with the sweet and wholesome flavours.

fisherman's cove
Sizzling Salt Water Jumbo Tiger Prawn with Garlic Butter is served on top of the sizzling plate is indeed a good one. Pure taste with the scent of garlic butter is simply a good and irrestible temptations. The sweetness of the prawns remains from the simple cooking from the chef. Nothing beats the simplicity of the dish and I could have more of these too.
fisherman's cove
This is one of my favorite of the night – Chinese Silver Pomfret Steam with Superior Soy Sauce. Simple delights with teh complete sea sweetness and the juicy meat in it. The pomfret is indeed a nice one and the soy sauce which is complete with the sweetness of the fish remains as good as it is. Yummz.
fisherman's cove

Cheese Baked Lobstter is definately an awesome delights to end our meals. The lobster is being added with the creamy cheese on top and each mouthful brings us the creaminess of the cheese combine with the sweetness of the lobster. I love how it is presented and it is indeed one of the recomended item to go for when you are in Fisherman’s Cove.

As there will be no standard menu available for Fisherman’s Night Market, the “talking menu” concept also includes a recommendation of desserts from the host, including the outlet’s signature banana fritters with ice cream, a favourite among regulars at Fisherman’s Cove.
