EDO RAMEN , GURNEY PARAGON

June 9, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

EDO-RAMEN

Edo Ramen is one of the latest outlet in Gurney Paragon where they are famed over the affordable Ramen. The sister company of Gokuraku Ramen in Klang Valley; Edo Ramen brings a different concept comparable to Gokuraku Ramen.

In Edo Ramen, they introduce a simple menu where it comes everything in one page where the ramen offers a great value for money as low as RM 9.90 for a bowl of hearty ramen. Edo Ramen comes with 4 choices of brooth where they have Tokyo, Tonkotsu, Miso and Black Soup and they have 2 choices either the normal or the ultimate with extra ingredients with it.
EDO-RAMEN
This round we had the Black Ramen (RM 11.90) where they are using black soup as the brooth. The black soup base is the classic pork brooth with the added Japanese fish powder in it plus the fragrant garlic oil. Since we get the normal one, not much topping can be found on it. The ramen portion is smaller and just nice for one.
EDO-RAMEN
Ultimate Miso Ramen (RM16.90) comes with the mixed of tonkatsu blend with Japanese soybean paste with creamy texture. Thicker and sweeter brooth, the miso soup comes awesome and indulging with the pieces of cha shu added in to it. It is simply good and delicious to be enjoyed especially on rainy days.
EDO-RAMEN
Some little bites to enjoy includes the Pan fried Gyoza (RM 4.90). Crispy gyoza with the juicy plup meat in it is just as good as it is. But it is slightly too oily to my preference.
