A celebration of Gifting and Grace: EQ Unveils ‘Celestial Treasures 2025’ for Mid-Autumn Festival

August 21, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

As the harvest moon returns to light up the night sky this Mid-Autumn Festival, EQ Kuala Lumpur honours tradition and elegance with the unveiling of Celestial Treasures 2025 — an exquisite mooncake collection that captures the emotional essence of the season: reunion, gratitude, and the quiet joy of giving.

Long regarded as one of the capital’s most iconic hospitality brands, EQ once again proves that festive gifting can be both culturally rich and exquisitely modern. This year’s collection is a masterclass in refinement, offering a curated range of gift sets that pair artisanal mooncakes with elevated presentation :  striking that rare balance between heritage and contemporary luxury.

Where Tradition Meets Thoughtful Sophistication

In the spirit of connection and generosity, Celestial Treasures 2025 offers mooncakes that are more than just culinary treats — they are expressions of sentiment, tradition, and beautifully considered design. From long-time business associates to cherished family members, every set is crafted to convey appreciation and taste in equal measure.

The Signature Collections

Autumn Jade Collection

A timeless favourite, refreshed. This versatile set is available with four traditionally baked mooncakes (RM288) or six snow skin varieties (RM298), housed in an elegant, warm-toned box with gold accents. The mooncake selection includes cherished classics — such as White Lotus with Single Yolk, Traditional Cantonese Mixed Nuts, and Red Bean — as well as bolder seasonal flavours. It’s a crowd-pleaser, perfect for both personal and corporate gifting.

Premium Collection

For gestures that transcend the ordinary, this collection pairs four traditional mooncakes with either a bottle of Hennessy VSOP (RM988) or Bottega Gold Prosecco (RM888), encased in a custom leather box in a deep cinnamon finish. Designed for VIP clients, esteemed partners, or family milestones, this set is the epitome of luxury, leaving a lasting impression well beyond the festival.

Longevity Collection

Thoughtfully crafted for large-scale gifting, this elegant set of four baked mooncakes starts from RM128. It’s offered exclusively for bulk orders and is customisable with logos — ideal for companies and organisations looking to honour their network with a meaningful, yet practical gift rooted in culture and celebration.

Miniature Collection

Small in stature, big on sentiment. This charming set features eight petite mooncakes in Green Tea or White Lotus flavour, each embossed with EQ’s signature marque. Priced at RM68, it’s the perfect gesture for colleagues, friends, or quiet exchanges. Available exclusively at EQ’s hotel lobby pop-up booth, where the spirit of the festival comes alive.

Flavours that Tell a Story

Beyond their beautifully designed boxes, the mooncakes themselves are a culinary narrative — from the comfort of familiar fillings to the excitement of inventive new pairings.

• Signature Pearl of Prosperity: A house favourite, rich with symbolism and taste.

• Golden Charcoal Musang King Durian: An indulgent snow skin creation for the durian connoisseur.

• Emerald Yuzu Pandan: Bright, floral, and zesty — a refreshing tropical twist.

• Mint Chocolate with Hawaiian Macadamia: Decadent, layered, and utterly unique.

• Butterfly Pea Flower with Vitagen White Lotus: A stunning swirl of blue and white with subtle floral notes.

• Sun-Dried Scallop with Mixed Nuts: Umami-packed with nutty complexity — for those who savour the savoury.

Festive Shopping and Early Bird Offers

The full Celestial Treasures 2025 collection will be available for purchase from 1 July to 12 October 2025 at EQ Kuala Lumpur, as well as select Kampachi and IPPUDO outlets.
