Christmas is a time for joy and laughter, for coming together with family and friends, for beautiful presents, delicious festive goodies and most of all sharing and giving. Celebrate this joyous occasion with a variety of festive delights at Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

For a taste from The Land of the Rising Sun, look no further than the festive spread at [email protected] Japanese Restaurant. Featuring a wide selection of Japanese delicacies, have a most delicious festive feast from our selection of lip-smacking and enticing Japanese culinary creations for dinner on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that is bound to whet your appetite.

Gather the whole family for a memorable Yuletide feast in one of our five cosy tatami rooms, or feast at the main dining area with a magnificent view of Kuala Lumpur skyline while enjoying a tantalizing selection of over 90 types of dishes comprising sashimi, sushi, tempura, nabe (hot pot), teppanyaki, yakimono (grilled) and an array of dishes from the buffet line.

A wide selection of seafood, ranging from fresh oysters, juicy tiger prawns, succulent snails and crabs, await diners at the Seafood on Ice section. scallops, hamachi (yellowtail), maguro (tuna), sake (salmon), ika (squid) and many more are also on the list.

Over at the sushi counter, be enticed with a spread different sushi, each with interesting names such as Pink Lady Roll, Godzilla Roll, Volcano Roll, Dancing Roll, Caterpillar Roll, Dynamite Roll and more.

For something heart-warming and soupy, head to the claypot section where Sukiyaki with Beef, Miso Shiru and Grilled Mackerel with Soba Noodles are served piping hot, with various condiments. Among the hot item dishes served are Unagi Kabayaki, Baked Crab Au Gratin, Beef rolled in Puff Pastry, Garlic Seafood Fried Rice, Chawan Mushi and Japanese Style Aglio-Olio Spaghetti.

Especially for the festive season, Chef Lau Yeou Shin, [email protected]’s Head Chef, has prepared a few tantalizing dishes for the enjoyment of diners, such as Soft Shell Crab Rolls with Sweet Mango, Chicken Roll with Assorted Seasonal Mushrooms and Poached Butterfish and Asparagus with Salmon Cream Roe Sauce. Other equally tempting offerings include Grilled Prawns with Teriyaki Sauce and Baked Slipper Lobster and Scallops with Lobster Sauce.

For diners who still wish to have a festive bite, there is the Whole Roasted Turkey served with Cranberry Giblet Gravy and Roasted Whole Lamb with Mint Sauce.

Round off the dinner with an array of desserts such as Omochi (glutinous rice cakes), Sago with Melon, Green Tea Ice Cream with Red Bean Paste, the traditional Christmas Pudding as well as cakes, French pastries and fresh fruits.

With emphasis on taste, presentation and freshness, [email protected] Japanese Restaurant welcomes you to its avant-garde setting with a stunning view of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline. Delight in its wide range of well-known Japanese menus including tempura, sashimi, teppanyaki and other seasonal specialties specially flown in from the Land of the Rising Sun. Do try its signature offerings of Sashimi Moriawase (Chef’s selection of eight types

of raw seafood), Gobo Supu (Double-boiled Burdock Root Soup), Gyu Tenderloin (Beef tenderloin with bean sprouts teppanyaki style), Niku / Tori / Kamo Udon / Soba (Choice of hot udon or soba noodles with beef, chicken and duck), Gindara Teriyaki (Grilled cod fish with teriyaki sauce), Age Sofuto Sherukurabu (Deep-fried soft shell crab) and its range of Teishoku (Set Meals).

Don’t miss its well-known Weekend Japanese Buffet Dinner, available from Thursdays to Sundays. It is a real value for money deal with over sixty dishes ranging from tempting appetizers, satisfying mains and yummy desserts.

Located at Level 10, [email protected] Japanese Restaurant is divided into three sections: Sushi and Sashimi Counter, Teppanyaki Counter and the Main Dining Area. Guests who require privacy will appreciate our five tatami rooms, the largest with seating capacity of 12 persons.

The restaurant accommodates 150 diners and operation hours are from 12.00 noon to 2.30 pm and 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and for lunch on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
