The Original Lorong Seratus Tahun Curry Mee, Lorong Seratus Tahun, Penang

May 8, 2010 by StrawberrY Gal

One of the famous curry mee in town is located along Lorong Seratus Tahun. The curry mee here had its branch in PJ as well. The shop here serves a delighting curry mee where the curry paste is served in front of you. It’s been selling since my parents were young, and it’s so famous until many tourist from other states will visit there for a curry mee.

The whole coffeeshop is only sell curry mee and the place is often pack up as well. Here, there also have a little stall selling “loh bak”, but the “loh bak” is not up to Penang standard. We ordered them for a try but the taste doesn’t taste good at all.

The curry mee here tastes nice and delighting. For a bowl of curry mee , perhaps you need to have a wait for about 20 minutes to half and hour. The business is always so good till sometimes you need to remind them again. The curry mee here is the usual curry mee which comes with prawns, tau kua, pork blood and others. The taste is simply delighting.

What I love the most, is you can add as much curry paste you like based on your likings. If you love spicy then you may add more for the curry paste. The overall taste is simply delighting.

PS: They do have a branch at SS2, Petaling Jaya. Although it does not taste 100% as the original one, but they do serve not bad curry mee, consider it as good if compare to others that serve in Selangor/Kuala Lumpur.

Taste:
Curry Mee: 5/5
Chai Koay and Lo Bak : 2/5

Price:
Curry Mee: RM 3.20 (S) and RM 3.80(L)
Chai Koay and Lo Bak : RM 1.80

Address:
No 50, Lorong Seratus Tahun, 10050 Penang
GPS Location: N 05⁰ 24.914 E 100⁰19.348’
