TeddyVille Museum @ Penang

February 6, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

For those who are a teddy lover, it is time to visit the TeddyVille Museum where they are one of the Malaysia’s first and the largest collection of Teddy Bears from various nations and eras; as early as the 1900s.

From one of the very first batches of teddy bears ever made, to miniature teddies and even human sized ones, there’s a teddy here for everyone.

The TeddyVille Museum is also the abode of Mini Penang, where miniature bears are dressed and placed in small sets that represent the many attractions that Penang has to offer.Apart from telling the origin of the bear, the displays go to great lengths to showcase and celebrate the rich cultural history of Penang. With the 7 sections , one can explore the beauty of Penang with the bears. Visitors will have a completely immersive experience where they get to touch and feel the glorious moment when Sir Francis Light first set foot on the shores of Penang and walk across time all the way to the present day.

One can take pictures together with the Teddy’s Version of “Sir Francis Light” which is completely adorable.  Moving one, you can see how this mini Penang is made with the miniature bears dressed and placed in small sets represents the many attractions of Penang.

There are also cute bears wearing different types of apparels and costumes too. One can walk along and capture pictures together with the life size bear in different apparels. Be sure to take photos with the bears that represent iconic Penangites including Tan Sri P Ramlee, Datuk Jimmy Choo, Datuk Nicol David and Datuk Lee Chong Wei.

Asides from that, one can also capture some great moments with friends and family there too.

You can also purchase some teddy and the merchandise too when you are visiting Teddyville Museum.  Overall, it is a nice museum to visit and you can find out more about Penang together with the cute little bears.
