Enrich Your Meetings And Events With JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay

December 26, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, the first international five-star resort on the island of Phu Quoc and the brand’s flagship resort property in Vietnam, offers a variety of thematic meeting spaces in unique designs for events of different scale.

The JW Marriott brand is globally renowned for its intuitive service and commitment to providing guests with truly enriching luxurious experiences. To extend this brand philosophy, JW Marriot Phu Quoc Emerald Bay is dedicated to creating spectacular events and engaging experiences for every attendee. Featuring untouched beaches, idyllic sunsets, and breathtaking scenery, Phu Quoc is a hidden gem of Vietnam and an emerging destination, with direct flights now available between the island and regional gateway cities, such as Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and Guangzhou. The resort is conveniently located 15-minute drive from the airport, closer than any other luxury properties on the island.

Designed by Bill Bensley with a narrative developed around the concept of a mythical academy of learning, the resort is a perfect destination to add creativity to the events, taking the experience to new heights with meeting spaces, both indoor and outdoor, totaling 5,080 square meters. A dedicated team with a proven track record of organizing world class meetings and events assists guests to tailor-make their one-and-only event.

The versatile meeting and event space situated inside Lamarck Auditorium is equipped with high-speed internet access and the most modern audiovisual technologies. Showcasing a series of vintage atlases with a layout imitating a school hall during the medieval period, the resort’s high-ceiling Grand Ballroom can host up to 750 people in its generous 688 square-metre space for big-scale events such as banquets, conferences, and gala dinners.

There is never a dull moment during pre-event reception and breakout sessions. Elliott’s Backstage, which is styled like a green room of an ancient theatre, showcases a range of beautiful stage costumes and props. In the Room of Bad Designs, guests will find quirky references to failed designs and ideas, including original vintage sketches of a six-wheeled vehicle.

The Artist Room, a 100-square-metre meeting room inspired by Jackson Pollock’s drip paintings, incorporates a bold lighting fixture constructed from large paint brushes and seats up to 90 guests.

Designed to curate inspiring events outdoors, The Lamarck Running Track offers endless possibilities for customised celebrations, sporting activities and team building exercises. Extended from the resort’s fictional academy theme, this venue is located in the heart of the “campus” with a perfectly manicured lawn before the beautiful architectural backdrop, providing a one-of-a-kind option to host large-scale events accompanied by the picturesque scenery of Phu Quoc.

In addition, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay offers several dining and catering options. A perfect spot to be bathed in the glow of the sunset, the terrace of the Department of Chemistry Bar is an ideal venue for cocktails for a cozy group of 100 guests. For a unique immersive dining experience, Pink Pearl, the resort’s brand-new French fine-dining destination, offers a stunning backdrop of eclectic, opulent furnishings and eye-catching patterns.  This luxurious beachfront pink mansion is perfect for lavish dinner parties, grand celebrations and one-of-a-kind escapades complete with spectacular entertainment.

From intimate meals of 10 guests to catering service for 180 guests, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay offers a variety of dining options at the different outlets inside the resort, including the all-day-dining restaurant Tempus Fugit, the beachside seafood grill Red Rum, as well as in the resort’s main street Rue de Lamarck, the poolside, and event garden.

The banqueting team, led by Chef Satoru Takeuchi, ensures that guests enjoy the finest and most authentic catering menus in Phu Quoc showcasing creativity and culinary excellence. Guests can choose from existing menu options or bespoke catering for all occasions, be it an exquisite banquet, meeting lunch, or business dinner.

A dedicated Catering and Conference Services Manager is available to meet clients’ specific requirements and assist with every need, from creative themes to ice-breaking sessions.

In addition, guests who join the event may take advantage of the world-class spa facility Chanterelle – Spa by JW, which boasts a VIP treatment room with its own luxurious bath, seven treatment rooms, two reflexology rooms, two express treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room and a beauty salon. An exclusive range of holistic and locally-inspired therapies based on the four pillars of calm, indulge, invigorate, and renew are available for guests’ indulgence.
